Results of MRI

So saw the endometriosis consultant today and he was very good. My MRI scan came back and showed extensive endometriosis that has obliterated my Pouch of Douglas and fully attached my rectum and bowel to my cervix. I've got an endo cyst on my left ovary and blood in left fallopian tube. Cervix is swollen and has multiple fibroids in it, and in the wall. I have adenomyosis and endo outside the cervix. I'm amazed at the level of detail an MRI provides! They could see everything; so much better than the rubbish ultra sounds. So he wants me off continuous provera. Ideally he'd like me off HRT altogether as it's making everything worse, but my mental health would really suffer. I'm to start zoladex on 29th December with addback HRT of utrogestan (I don't want to stay on the synthetic progeston) and estrogen gel. A continuous regime. Initially he wants me on this for a year and then they can review. He seems to think that women are going on HRT too early at the moment because of the media frenzy around it. He said I've pushed my hormone levels up too high with the HRT but what's the alternative when we are so miserable without it? More research needs to be pumped into women's health and research. I'm praying that zoladex with add back HRT will be good for me. I know some side effects sound brutal but it's the only option I have to stop the hemorrhaging and get my life back xxx

Otherwise I'd be waiting 9 months to see him then a further 3 months for MRI and results. I want my life back. 😩

I went private. It cost me £600 and they had the results in 2 days x
