Follow up to my last post re SDR
It's now almost 4 weeks since Mark's knee replacement. He's doing well after a small setback at the weekend. He saw our Dr a week ago to ask if he could drive. Dr told him to ask the physio. She tested him on a step, checking the force he could use on his knee and gave permission for him to drive

Coping after hip replacement
Hi Everyone, Sorry its me again with yet more concerns about forthcoming hip replacement on 5th December. Despite my emphasising to the surgeon at my recent pre-op assessment that I was having excruciating pain in my right hip (which is what I had assumed would need replacing) BUT because the x-rays

Gabapentine
I have had RLS for many years. I am 85 years of age. My doctor prescribed Amitryptiline 10 mgs last year but I found that after a while it had no effect whatsoever. My doctor has now prescribed Gabapentine but on reading the leaflet with the package it has so many side effects that I 'm afraid to use

Treatment Options (Hypo)
There are many different thyroid hormone replacements available globally. There are branded replacements and generic replacements (generics are copies of the original drug). They come in tablets, capsules and liquid form. Some are lactose-free and you can also get some with minimal inactive ingredients

Cortisol help please
Been feeling really tired for about 6 months and trying to work out why. The last thing I had added before this was testosterone to existing HRT, so I stopped that again about 4 months ago, so not an effect of that now. I take T3 only, have not changed dose for some time and my results are towards top

Can I take my Levo &T3 at night with Progesterone?
Hi All, I’ve just had my HRT prescription changed - more estrogen and separate progesterone pills to be taken at night (have been on combined patch for 3yrs). I feel much better when I take Levo at night - do we know if progesterone interferes with Levo? Gynaecologist recommended progesterone at night

Do I have a hysterectomy?
Hi, I’m 38, with DIE. Luckily I’ve had 3 children. I am waiting for excision surgery and a hysterectomy, with possible bowel surgery. I was happy with the decision, until I had zoladex. The add on hrt, caused my migraines to be more frequent, so I stopped it. Obviously I had all the usual side affects

I am undiagnosed but with typical symptoms. I have yet to get bloods done privately as recommended here as my surgery have said they don’t accept those results. My GP says I’m subclinical and offered no thyroid related medication. My question here is dietary, will fresh pineapple help my digestion as

Sigmoid colon stuck to small bowel due to endometrial scarring.
Hi all. I'm 5 years post hysterectomy due to stage 4 endometriosis and adenomyosis leaving ovaries. Visited the gynecologist regarding hrt and whilst there I mentioned that the area where my left ovary is was tender. Long story short, after a mri scan to check endo hadn't returned, it appears that my

Hi there. I've had PMR/GCA for 10 years which once diagnosed was reasonably managed until 2018 when having tapered to 3.5 mgs, I was told to stop Pred within a fortnight by my rheumatologist who was confident it had gone. The resulting flare was worse even than the initial onset and after a good deal

FND and hormones
Hiya everyone, I was diagnosed with FND in 2021, my symptoms started in 2018 after many stressful life events. I’ve noticed my symptoms get worse just before my period. I’m perimenopausal so I started HRT (oestrogen gel and progesterone oral capsules). The progesterone seemed to cause a massive relapse

Tibolone or sequential hrt?
I had a hysterectomy 5 months ago for Adenomyosis/fibroids. They now think I have Endometriosis as my pain has flared up since starting hrt. I'm on Tibolone but I'm still in so much pain. Has anyone had experience of this and have they found sequential hrt better? I don't think the Tibolone is strong

breast pain
I’m currently off work, waiting on spine surgery since last October, but the last few months I’ve been getting pain in my left boob. I don’t know if it to do with my back, or if it’s manopause, HRT. Some days it’s quite bad, then another day nothing. But it’s there, more than it’s not. I don’t want

Probably more of a rant than asking for help, this is my first post. Recently I replied to a question by someone to have an ablation first or a hip replacement, my choice was to have my hip replaced first that has been taken out of my hands. As in the title they have found a new way to reduce the waiting
