I started to try and lose weight way back in May before a hip replacement operation. My diet was disrupted because over a period of 3 months I managed to dissociate my hip 4 times. my hip feels right now so I am able to start walking. So... I have lost just 1 stone in 7 months, nothing at all in the last 6 weeks, however my "beer belly" has changed shape, it's shrunk at the waist and I'm not sure it looks better or worse. However I am wearing jeans I haven't been able to wear since before lockdown. I live with my daughter and we eat the same about of food, she has a desk job so it's not as if she is exercising more than me. She weighs 10st I am a morbidly obese 15st.

Well done on losing the 1 stone and 3 inches off thc waist! It is hard when we have health issues that restrict us , you have you had your op now and hopefully can start a little more exercise. Did you change your deit to loose weight?
Walking is such great gentle exercise you can do every day. I think it helps how we feel as well - getting fresh air and vitamin D. So wonderful about fitting into smaller pants. That is a great measurement to show positive progress. Sometimes the scale isn't always the best or encouraging measurement so it's always good to take measurements and use other sources (like how you feel, energy level, attitude, and your clothes) as a guide of our progress. Well done!
I know 1 stone is not as much as you wished to have lost at this point, but you are heading in the right direction. Think about it this way: If you lose 1 stone every 3 months, you will be 4 stone lighter next year before Christmas. And you will reap the health rewards way before. So just keep up what you are doing - slow and steady wins the race!
