GP appointment today - this is what's come out of it...
GP thinks this correlates with the inflammatory response due to
thyroiditis
. Ferritin is slightly up from August when it was 15, now it's 21 in December's test results.

Awaiting confirmation I have PBC
Anyways, I also have Hashimotos
Thyroiditis
(diagnosed in September) so these last few months have been rather tough for me. I am 37 with children, 5, 8 and 9. I am struggling with the idea that I am "sick". Hardly ever been sick in my life - even with coughs, colds etc.

Hypo AND hyper. Does anyone else have experience of this please?
Feeling unwell, I started to dig around for information and came across the following in a Mary Shomon article: "Some patients who have the autoimmune condition known as Hashimoto's
thyroiditis
are diagnosed during a period when they are hypothyroid.

Please can somebody help me work out what to do now...
The other theories were that it is Hashimoto’s
Thyroiditis
or De Quervain’s disease (self-resolving
Thyroiditis
) and the outcome was “wait and see”. (The original Endo only mentioned the second two possibilities after I asked her about them based on my own research.)

Which Levothyroxine & Liothyronine brands can be prescribed in the UK in addition to Eltroxin?
I feel the best I've been since
thyroiditis
onset late 2010. So many debilitating and distressing symptoms have disappeared or diminished.

Can you comment on my test results please. GP says they are normal and stable but still don't feel right. Platelets are high
(3.1 - 6.8) TSH. 0.298. (0.270 - 4.200) Thyroid peroxidase antibodies 125 IU/ml (Consistent with auto immune
thyroiditis
) Platelets 515. (150-400) Taking 100mg levothroxine What kind of range should T3 T4 TSH be in?

Should I be worried about my 9am cortisol result?
I suffer from hashimotos
thyroiditis
and have been having yearly short synacthen tests for the past 3years. I had just a 9am cortisol done two weeks ago and the result was 171.

Hi new to this site and newly diagnosed auto immune thyroiditis.
Original blood numbers were TPO 1005 and TSH of 60. Started taking 50 mg and had repeat bloods done after approximately 5.5 weeks and tsh is now 10.4. Dr wants to leave meds as they are and retest in 2 months. This seems to go against everything I'm reading which suggest 6 to eight weeks being the optimal

Feel like giving up...constipation has come back :(
Hi all, for those who don't know me I am a 28yr old girl diagnosed in May this year with Hashimoto's
Thyroiditis
. My doctor has started me on 75mcg Levothyroxine and after a follow-up blood test has increased it up to 125mcg. Honestly, I've thrown everything at this.

Does everyone know how/why they have hypothyroid?
I was diagnosed 13 years ago after having my daughter and told it can be brought on by pregnancy but what u have read to now seems to indicate postpartum
thyroiditis
normally sorts itself out in about 2 years. Am I wrong?
