Help interpreting results: Told TSH levels normal when they're higher than the normal range
Everything settled down eventually & I was discharged last month & told it was an episode of
thyroiditis
. This month I saw my GP as I have developed really bad water retention in my legs & arms & feel absolutely dreadful.

High Eosinophils
I'd be interested to hear if others that have been diagnosed with autoimmune gastritis/PA and/or Hashimoto's
Thyroiditis
have consistently higher than normal Eosinophils in their blood test results. Just curious. Rexz

Do I have lupus?
Then earlier this year was having palpitations and chest pain and it turned out I had autoimmune
thyroiditis
. So I recently went back to my gp and she has once again referred me to rheumatology. Do you think these things are unrelated or do you think it's lupus.

Latest Thyroid Tests
Triiodothyronine (T3):
1.98 ng/mL [0.6 - 1.81 ng/mL]
T4:
140.4 nmol/L [59 - 154 nmol/L] The Drs comments were: "As you can see from the results your TPO antibodies are still high, so you are obviously still in the active phase of Hashimoto's

Blood test results
Doctors note on test results: "The positive thyroid antibody result however increases the possibility of your having or ultimately developing autoimmune thyroid disease, such as Hashimoto's
thyroiditis
or Grave's disease.

PA symptoms?
DH has autoimmune
thyroiditis
, NCGS and psoriasis. And a whole host of symptoms having been misdiagnosed for ages. He’s on levothyroxine but his memory loss is way more than you’d normally see with
thyroiditis
and the neurologists aren’t sure what it is.

New paper linking mineral uptake and autoimmune thyroiditis.
This excellent paper (available) relates the value of minerals (well known to TUK) on thyroid function. No surprises but a handy lever to convince doctors of minerals' importance in AIT therapy. There are several papers in this research topic, and this can lead onto their access.

can thyroid disease cause sore throat, throast discomfort and tension in neck/face?
I had an ultrasound of my neck that said my thyroid had a hetergeneous ecostructure with increased vascularity and micronodular texture suggestive of
thyroiditis
. I had another ultrasound which referred only to a coarse texture and made no further comment on
thyroiditis
.

I just found old lab results from after my pregnancy when everything fell apart, low ferritin then...nobody noticed...never fully diagnosed.
I was diagnosed with postpartum
thyroiditis
and put on Levothyroixine. Since then it's been 19 years of struggles. I just saw that I had low ferritin then but it was subclinical so docs didn't care. What does a lifetime of low ferritin do to you? Also, is this Hashimotos?

My thyroid story-Part 1, Thyroiditis
My thyroid had become inflamed,
thyroiditis
I guess it's called. I was experiencing horrible symptoms: racing heart, sweating, feeling like I was drowning, anxiety, sleeplessness, panic attacks, sinus problems and so on.

The Influence of Nutritional Intervention in the Treatment of Hashimoto's Thyroiditis-A Systematic Review
"Secondly, the disease is not a homogeneous condition, and variability between patients is high." My favourite sentence in the whole paper. :D Even though this is not what the paper is about. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36839399/

Undiagnosed and confused
My latest blood tests show: TSH: 7.07 munit/L T4: 14.1 pmol/L T3: 5.0 pmol/L TSH receptor antibodies: 3.98 unit/ I have been told by different doctors that this could be subacute
thyroiditis
, could be Hashimoto's or was even told that the blood results could be an error!

Infant Hyperthyroidism
I went hyperthyroid in Jul20 and it was deemed a mild
thyroiditis
which self resolved (all antibodies negative except for TgAB). Note my Dad has Graves’ disease. Thyroid levels and antibodies normalised and thyroid was within range during pregnancy but now apparently we are both hyperthyroid.
