Have I missed a trick?! Intrinsic factor testing without gpc antibodies test
Since I have autoimmune
thyroiditis
I asked to be tested for PA. He agreed and ordered intrinsic factor antibodies test. Is testing for gpc antibodies necessary in this case? I know sometimes you can be positive for gpc but not IFa, but is this true the other way round?

Hashi's Flare Up? Under medicated ?
I blurted out my 36 years of hell over 3 minutes, her eyes rolled, she couldn't confirm that she knew what Hashimoto's
Thyroiditis
is. I have raced home and collapsed in tears and rage. I am truly sick and tired of feeling this way.

TSH repressed? Is it important to be nearer 1.0 than zero?
I was diagnsed Atrophic
Thyroiditis
back in May 2017 when my TSH was 146. Severe/profound hypothyroidism and no palpable thyroid. A lot of water has flowed under the bridge since then! My endocrinologist recommended my GP get my TSH to around 1mU/L . A brief history.

Research: Non-celiac Gluten Sensitivity and Rheumatic Diseases [plus other autoimmune diseases and fibromyalgia]
They also noted "It has recently been reported that 14% of the patients with NCGS have an associated autoimmune disease, mainly autoimmune
thyroiditis
and psoriasis" - I couldn't access the report they cited though.

T3 and polymorphism some help?
Hi, I was originally diagnosed with Hashimoto's
thyroiditis
in June last year. Following several visits to my NHS GP I eventually persuaded him my low energy and pains in my back were not general back pain, he agreed for me to take blood tests.

Thyroid issues only show on biopsy
All blood tests are normal, but thyroid is enlarged and biopsy shows Hashimoto’s
thyroiditis
. Why would this not show on blood work?

Looking for some help on Immunosuppressants vs. Hashimoto’s
Does anyone have any insight or links to reputable articles on this to help me understand why it’s used in some auto immune disorders but not in the case of Hashimoto’s

Thyroid Antibody Tests - when invented/first used?
I personally did not discover I have Hashimotos
Thyroiditis
until January 2017 when I did a private blood test. I'm trying to discover if there was any possibility I could have had antibody tests done on me at least prior to the 1990's. I have my own personal reasons for needing to know.
