Anyone experienced lump like feeling in thyroid area
Scan in March showed some “vascularity” (
thyroiditis
) but no nodules or goiter. Endo prescribed two courses of prednisolone for inflammation (a weaker one and then a strong one starting at 40mcg).

Feeling like a fraud
Had my ultrasound done, everything pretty much normal , radiologist said no sign of
thyroiditis
or sign of recent
thyroiditis
. He said the gland looks okish , almost normal size but I don't know which way , was a bit smaller or bigger.

b12 injection
diagnosed b12 deficiant Hi there After being poorly for years, ( I also have post parrton
thyroiditis
), I have been offered B12 injections. I am curious as to how long the B12 I injection lasts. As I cant absorb B12, does that mean it dosnt get to be stored in my body?

Not sure where to turn now...
I had post-partum
thyroiditis
after my son was born 4 years ago. All sorted itself out after a few months. Then, around a year ago I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and put on 50mcg of Levothyroxine. In the past 6 months I have felt worse and worse.

Recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism
I have also had a goitre and told I had
thyroiditis
during relevant tests to determine my throat issues. I was originally told its was a thyroid problem despite these and various symptoms as bloods were OK. Feeling really weak and fatigued lately and bloods now say my t4 level is 7.04.

No idea what my renal profile results actually mean!
I've been having blood tests really regularly since Feb when I developed
thyroiditis
. I've just started on thyroxine yesterday as now hypothyroid. But all along, my renal profile has been tested and of course I look at every test result! lol.

Do we have Graves antibodies forever, even after RAI?
I was hyper in 1987, and in my medical records one endo mentioned Graves, and one mentioned Hashimotos
thyroiditis
. There's no record of any antibody tests, just high T4 and low TSH. I had carbimazole and PTU, but relapsed afterwards, so was given RAI in 1989, and have been very hypo ever since.

Nowhere left to go with my Thyroiditis.
The ultra sound results said that I have
Thyroiditis
. In my naivety I was excited to know it wasn’t all in my head and now I had something they can treat.

What should I find out in phone appt?
2) what do my chronic WBC levels mean - if they were caused by the
thyroiditis
, why have they not settled? Can you think of anything else, based on your knowledge & experience? thank you!

Endo or Rheumatologist?
Just had a discussion last night, whether having Hashimoto's
thyroiditis
, an autoimmune disease, warrants seeing rheumatology instead of an endocrinologist. Reason one, most endos know zip about Hashimoto's. Hashimoto's is not hypothyroidism.

Raised temperature, thyroid blood test results, please help!
I suspect it could be postpartum
thyroiditis
or hashimoto. My gp did not see any problem and didn't want to do more tests, but luckily I found a private clinic and got more tests for my thyroid.

Is varicella zoster (herpes zoster, shingles?) perhaps a partial cause of some PMR, GCA? Does it fit for you?
I'm complicated as I also have thyroid antibodies and destruction of thyroid via untreated
thyroiditis
as well..which I suspect plays in there too..and also moyamoya syndrome..which who knows is probably caused by something like this too (perhaps since a teenager)...It's difficult to work out what is

Raised temperature, blood tests normal. Hashimoto?
I suspect it could be postpartum
thyroiditis
or hashimoto. My gp does not see any problem and only suggests trying to relax. Does not want to refer me to check thyroid antibodies. I feel my body is not ok though, I need multiple layers to go out on a warm sunny day and am still shaking.

Thyroiditis on levo
Has anyone been diagnosed with
thyroiditis
? Is so, how long was you on levo? When did you start to reduce the dosage before you recovered?

This is one reason for Hashimoto
thyroiditis
, which I've had since my teens. Also: By switching to bioidentical thyroid hormone, I have now managed to reduce my hormone intake by 60% and last week, an ultra sound proved that my thyroid has grown. The right one even by 40%.
