Hi, I'm 58 and have autoimmune
thyroiditis
( hashimotos)and am taking t4/t3 hormone combination. I have almost optimised my blood levels and feel the best I have been for a long time. My issue is my muscles feel very weak and have twinges in my fingers when writing and doing mild exercises .

Thyroid Antibodies
These levels rise as well as the TPO Ab levels in autoimmune
thyroiditis
, but to a lesser degree...” I don’t understand what this is saying…does it mean that BOTH antibodies are elevated/have to be elevated at the same time for a diagnosis of autoimmune
thyroiditis
?

Heterogeneous thyroid.
On my latest ultrasound of my thyroid it reported that both lobes of my thyroid were heterogeneous and
thyroiditis
was a possibility. What does that actually mean in plain English? Thanks 😁

My Endocrinology appointment review no help! and my 1300 tpo just a small blip quote from endocrinologist (see my previous post)
She didn’t care about the results of private bloods they mean notching and tpo doesn’t mean autoimmune
thyroiditis
until my tsh rises she can’t help. Basically my being so unwell and all hypo list I tried to explain and throat problems are nothing to do with hypo or Hashimoto’s.

Blood Test Results Help Please
I was diagnosed with Hashimotos
Thyroiditis
in 1994. My TSH is low & my T4 is low in the range. The lab refused to test my T3. My Folate is low & I feel my B12 is at the low end of the range (to feel well). My GP has just texted me re the Folate, but ignored the flagging up of the thyroid.

hi I’ve been told I have
thyroiditis
, I’ve had a biopsy to rule out cancer. I have a large goitre that is not giving me a problem yet I’m also on medication for my thyroid.

Selenium Supplementation in Patients with Hashimoto Thyroiditis
I found this paper and thought I'll share. This is for patients with hashis, who are not yet on thyroid hormone replacement. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38243784/

I have been told by a doctor I do not have Hashimoto's
Thyroiditis
as the rest of my thyroid results are in range, however I may develop the
thyroiditis
in the future. Follow up testing is the plan as other test in range.
