Am about to be prescribed transdermal oestrogen and progesterone tablets. I am 56 y with much crabbines and fatigue.
Have also just discovered that I may have Hashimotot's (see my post).
How will HRT affect things? Do I not go ahead with it?
Thanks.

The HRT may well affect your thyroid hormone levels even though they say transdermal oestrogen does not.
I would say from my experience, go ahead with both treatments as it will be worth it in the end. But keep your thyroid levels under regular review and be prepared to adjust your dosjage to ensure it continues to be right for you.
If you find the progesterone does not suit you ( more likely than oestrogen) be prepared to argue for an alternative dose or form (there are vaginal gels, coils and pessaries).
Ive been on both for years. Just keep an eye on your thyroid levels and be prepared to alter dose accordingly.
You'll probably find it will sort out some issues but not all as hypo and meno have crossover symptoms just to make it tricky!
It is likely it might exacerbate your already struggling thyroid which has been gradually destroyed as you know you have had Hashi's since at least 2008.
This could work in your favour and push your TSH above range which will then allow NHS treatment.
Progesterone made me fell really punch drunk to start with if I got up for a wee in the night... I got over this by using it on alternate nights vaginally for a couple of weeks and then swapped back to oral
