Thyroiditis and DOR

Hi,

I posted recently about having a diminished ovarian reserve 😢 after going down a rabbit hole of research I found that this may be due in part to my age (40 years young) but also could be due to my thyroiditis condition! I wondered if anyone else had something similar or the same, and if they had any advice/reflections from their experiences.

Many thanks

Shauna

Hi hun, I have both. The thyroiditis is very new to me and I actually need to speak to my dr about. I’ve been on thyroxine for the last 8 weeks, about just about to have my third transfer tomorrow (collected 5 eggs yesterday, 2 fertilised) my AMH is 2.2ish I think x

Oh wow! Good luck 🤞 my thyroiditis I’ve had for a while as I also have a multinodular goitre (fat neck syndrome as I like to call it). Although never been officially told I have hypo or hyperthyroidism, have had plenty of blood tests! How are you since taking the thyroxine? Do you feel any differently?

I also have hypo. Since taking it I’ve noticed I’m not as tired or cold. But the last few weeks the tiredness has crept up again but I don’t know if that’s from the stimms or not. I used to wake up exhausted but that stopped since I started taking it and now I have a few mornings where I feel like hell but again I think that could be the stimms x

Fingers crossed my TSH comes back with some results so they can start me on thyroxine. Thank you for sharing your journey, it does help to know xx

My TSH came down quite quickly, within 6 weeks of starting it. With the antibodies though This is what I need to speak to the dr about to try and underhand it more 💕

I’ve known I’ve had thyroiditis for ages but they refused to give me any medications. Hopefully now they might at least try something 😀 fingers crossed your antibodies test comes back lower xx
