hi all, creeping up to 1 year since my TBI. I stayed in hosp for 4 days before being discharged but despite this my TBI was classed as ‘severe’. I am lucky in the sense of I seem to have recovered really well. I don’t have any symptoms anymore apart from the odd BPPV spell which I fix with the epley.

unfortunately the liver mets have returned to Martins liver. It is 6 months since chemo finished. There are multiple small mets. Martin is still feeling well. No fatigue, loss of appetite or pain. His MO said that this is very bad and gave a prognosis of 12 months. He is starting Martin on carboplatin

Cirrhosis & Diverticular disease
I was recently diagnosed with Diverticular disease and Cirrhosis of the liver, after having a Scan and colonoscopy. I was referred to the Gastroenterlogy department at the hospital for triaging and consultation with regard to the cirrhosis, but it looks as if both of those will take months to happen.

colonoscopy 💩
I’m due to have a colonoscopy on the 16th which I am not looking forward to as when I had a sigmoidoscopy years ago I was in considerable pain when they used the air. I believe my bowel prep is going to be Picolax any tips on getting it down? I get bad reflux and nausea so praying it’s not going to make

Symptoms of thyroid issues but tests normal
Hi, can anyone help me understand please? My thyroid tests keep coming back as normal but I have symptoms which I’m trying to unpick from menopause symptoms. I’m on HRT but still feel cold, get crashing fatigue, have missing outer third of eyebrows, brain fog, low mood etc. My folate came back as low

Altered sensation after Dilator exercises
Hi all,I would really appreciate some support and guidance as I have a hypertonic pelvic floor muscle (for about 8-9 years). I have tried many approaches over the years but recently return to focus on physiotherapy and dilator stretches - on an intensive approach this time- completing a passive stretch

low serum iron. Normal ferritin
been getting very tired lately. ET (MPL) on pegysus 45ug every 2 weeks. Mentioned fatigue to haematologist and he suggested reducing peg further to 3 weekly. Got the above results after we got home. Also raised CRP but I do have a cold . raised neutrophils and wbc. Haem thought this was good as mounting

long term omeprazole use
I was taking omeprazole for about 15 years and stopped in December last year, as I had done some research and found out it can affect stomach acid. No one told me to stop taking it. I don’t even know why I was put on it in the first place, up I think it was for IBS. I haven’t had any acid reflux or indigestion

Dry eyes
Hi helpful warriors I am on 35 mg of pred for next 2 weeks, then tapering to 30. Does pred cause dry eyes? ( did have cataract removal surgery in June of 2023.) Since diagnosis of GCA in late July 2023 I have had very dry eyes. I am on Thealoz Duo drops (3% Trehalose, 0.15 Sodium Hyaluronate).

carbo/gem
I was diagnosed high grade stage 3c peritoneal in Autumn 2021, I have had carbo/taxol/avastin, debulking surgery. Followed by avastin alone which did not work, then carbo/caelyx which worked very well. I have had just over a year on Niraparib but sadly it is no longer working. I am due to start
