unfortunately the liver mets have returned to Martins liver. It is 6 months since chemo finished. There are multiple small mets. Martin is still feeling well. No fatigue, loss of appetite or pain.

His MO said that this is very bad and gave a prognosis of 12 months. He is starting Martin on carboplatin and Etoposide again on Monday. Am wondering if anyone knows of any other treatments worth trying. Would proton beam therapy…SBRT?? Anything? Martin is now 71 and except for a hip that needs replacing is in very good shape. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you all. 🙏

I am so sorry to hear about Martin's situation. Would you be able to attend one of the trials in the US?

Thanks for reply. We would travel anywhere for help. Are there trials for Martins stage of disease? His liver mets are small cell. Is it possible to join trials that have already started?

Thank you

This is a link to TA's trial list. I believe Dr Andrew Armstrong is also conducting a small trial of his colleague Dr Jiaoti Huang's new research drug but I can't find anything out about it. It might be worth contacting them directly. I wish I knew more to be able to help.

Best of luck. If I find anything more I will post it. There a couple of people on this site who are on the CHAMP trial. Hopefully they will chip in.

I'm sorry to hear the liver metastases returned. Hopefully the chemo will give him more time.

Thanks for reply. Yes, hopefully chemo will work again and give Martin more time. Is there any radiotheraphy that might help?

Thank you

I am NOT doctor. I read in other groups that’s provenge therapy helps in liver mets. I also posted same question here and many comments confirmed as well

Thank you for replying. Martin is going to ask his MO if this might help him. It’s sounds like it is well worth a try. 🙏
