Do follicle sizes relate to egg quality?
I am triggering tonight ahead of my third egg retrieval for egg freezing. As I am single I will be putting this behind me and concentrating on dating, so no further treatment/IVF for me, which brings its own sadness, but I am hoping this is a good insurance policy. When I've had my scans I've listened

mild IVF? not great so far.
Just an update on how mild IVF is going so far for anyone interested: After multiple (7!) miserable attempts with traditional IVF (1-2 mature eggs retrieved each time), I finally switched to a mild protocol. I did a week of estrogen priming with provera in the previous luteal phase, then started Clomid

Ivf first cycle failed
Hi, I have just completed my first cycle of fresh ivf and received a negative pregnancy test. This has really knocked me and I'm so scared about doing a FET for that to fail along with trying to be happy in myself. Sometimes it feels as though this has consumed me over the last 2 years, our tests have

Increased bleeding after first scan…
hi everyone, this is my first post. First IVF cycle. I have PCOS and my bleeds are extremely unpredictable. I started my current cycle with very light murky bleeding and because there was nothing else to go on and none of my bleeds are the same, we started the protocol given by our doctor.

Private bloods and scans in Manchester for IVF abroad
Hi all, I'm Irish but recently moved to South Manchester. We've been using a clinic in Spain but now need some advice on where I could get private bloods done (EU viral bloods) and a lining scan privately? Preferably somewhere that works in fertility so there's no mistakes in knowing what's needed.

Follicle growth rates
I had my second tracking scan today for my second cycle of IVF, and things aren’t looking great. I’m 43, amh is 7 and afc 14, I’m on 450iu ovaleap. My first scan on day 7 I had one v big follicle (over 20mm), 2 over 10mm, 6/7 below 6mm. At todays scan (day 9), the big one is now nearly 30mm, but the

Constipation during stimulation
Probably a bit tmi but does anyone else get constipated during ivf stimulation? Or is this likely an entirely separate issue?

considering donor
We have had 3 failed ivf cycles with only 2 transferrable embryos from over 20 fertilised and dividing embryos. We have severe MFI, PCOS, Endo and I also have ME. We know that it is very likely we will need a sperm donor and my eggs haven't been the best quality although I do feel I was stimmed quick

What to ask on review appointment?
Hi all, i hope you're all keeping strong and well on this journey xx I'm having our review appointment next week, after a failed fresh transfer in May which sadly ended as a missed miscarriage at nearly 8 weeks on the viability scan at end of June . Luckily we did manage to freeze 2 other embryos ,

How does silent miscarriage occurs? I am 6+5 pregnant through IVF. I had a first ultravaginal and abdominal scan from private clinic at 6+1 and found 2 gestational sac however no yolk sac and fetal pole seen. Next day I started spotting so phoned EPU and check my hcg which still rising. I had heavy

DE and higher risk of pre-eclampsia?
hi all, I am venturing down the DE route for a sibling and I’m now nearly 43 but thankfully had a healthy IVF pregnancy with my son when I was 40/41. The consultant briefly mentioned an elevated risk of high blood pressure with DE but did not say pre-eclampsia and now I have researched a little it

Sperm quality after covid
We’re looking to do Donor Egg IVF, working towards my partner providing his sample for ICSI in a couple of weeks so that we can do a FET in my Oct cycle. However, he’s just tested positive for Covid. How long should we wait before he provides his sample? Clinic is suggesting 3 months, which feels like

Baby aspirin
Hi. I’m currently 10 weeks pregnant via IVF and after my first blood test via midwife, I’ve had a call from my Drs and been asked to take 75mg x2 aspirin from week 12 as the midwife has requested it? Does anyone know why this would be? Or anyone took similar? I’ve heard of 1 x 75mg a day but not

Hypothyroid and on levothyroxine 75micrograms Hashimoto's Antibodies 263 TSH 8.57 T3 4.3 T4 15.4 I recently read about the timings of blood draws before 9am and not taking meds, food before the draw and no supplements 3 days before. So I ran a test. I had GP bloods done on the 15th august and

repeat surgery?
hello! Just wondering if anyone has had repeat surgery to treat their endo? I had my first one in 2021 and then started IVF so pregnancy stopped my periods and I was pain free for 9 months. Recently the pain is creeping back in and I’m not sure if another laparoscopy could be on the cards? I’m not sure

Short protocol - IVF
Hi All, hope everyone is ok.. I’ve just had my consultation to start my Second IVF cycle. I was looking to have further testings after having 3 failed embryo transfers of ‘good’ grades (not PGTa tested) from my previous cycle. However, my consultant advised to go with the endo scratch only. She

How did you decide if/when to try for another baby?
Hi lovely ladies, I hope you are all well. Just wondering how you can to a decision if/when to try for another baby following a successful cycle of IVF? I’m absolutely in love with my silly, strong willed baby girl who is now 9 months (pic below!) and like the idea of a bigger family. Simultaneously

Laparoscopy - is it needed? Experiences?
Hello I have been having ovulation induction treatment and am planning to start IVF soon. On a recent scan, a 5mm submucosal fibroid showed up and I was very lucky that my private health cover entitled me to an appointment and should cover the costs of surgery. I have had one chemical pregnancy but
