Should I delay, or go ahead (IVF)?
Both me and my husband are under 31 - no known medical issues other than my known hormone condition, which is the reason we need IVF. We’ve just had 1 round of IVF (ICSI) and all 3 embryos that we had failed to implant. The decision I need to make is should I crack on next month and start the process

2nd round IVF
I'm looking for some help with timelines please. We had our first round of IVF and got a negative test result on Friday, followed by period on Saturday. I still haven't heard anything about timelines from the hospital but keen to find out so we can plan things. We are fortunate to have embryos frozen

Stimulation period and exercise
Hello everyone,I am doing IVF through the NHS and I am now waiting for the next stage which is ovarian stimulation. The doctor told me in the first appointment that during stimulation I won't be able to do any exercise because of the ovarian torsion. I understood this was for two weeks but I have been

Long protocol and a late period - will they cancel?
Hi all, hope staying as well as you can. I’m on my first longer protocol (2nd round ivf), started on day 21 this round whereas round 1 we started day 2. I’m cycle day 28 and would normally have a v regular 26/27 day cycle- I know it’s not super late, but not had any spotting or symptoms at all to say

Any families with one genetic child and one donor sibling?
hello, we’ve had 4 unsuccessful embryo transfers since having my son who was conceived with ivf on the third transfer. Clinic seems to be indicating egg quality as the issue. Just wondering if anyone has experience of having two children conceived in different ways? Wondering if you’d feel differently

Repeat Implantation Failure at St Barts - after how many do they do any more investigations? If at all
Hi, anybody else wo did IVF at St Barts in London being NHS funded and had repeaded implantation failure? Any idea how many failed implantations do you need until they do any other investigations - like hysterescopy, endometrial byopsy, etc? Do they do any at all, or do they just keep doing the same

Egg retrieval day
Today is egg retrieval day and I was feeling fairly positive until I spoke to the consultant and she told me she's expecting the egg number to be in single figures (so anything up to 10). I know quality matters over quantity but am now freaking out as I got 20 eggs last time and only 3 embryos, so thinking

Menopur mixing
hi everyone, I’m a few weeks away from starting our first IVF cycle. I am going to be taking Menopur and have read it’s one that you mix the solution yourself. I’m freaking out a little bit that it’s complicated and I’m overwhelmed with it all as it is. Does anyone have experience with this that can

2WW-Symptoms
Well last Thursday was our 7th embryo transfer, and as usual I hate the 2WW. Before the transfer I am very aware of the frustration during these days….but as soon as I am going through it I start going crazy…. Here comes my question…probably I have asked about it before but none of my friends have

self funded NHS route vs private clinics: pros & cons ?; quality of treatment, costs & Time
Hi, I'm pretty new to the process and would appreciate all the advice I can get. I reached out to an NHS clinic in my area Dec 23 for a fertility check for my husband and I, first appointment was in Jan and we didn't get results/follow up consultation until march. the consultant mentioned my husband

Age, Donor Eggs & Anxiety

2nd ivf cycle
Hello We are due to commence our 2nd fresh IVF-ICSI cycle in the next few weeks. Our first cycle we had downregulation with norethisterone but it gave me horrendous side effects which required me to stop working. My response to stims was slow to begin and not wonderful, 5 eggs, of which 4 were mature

I’m hoping to hear from anyone whose had an IUI whose in a similar age range as me. I am 43 with secondary infertility (following primary infertility) and I have low ovarian reserve and had lap excision of mild endo 5 weeks ago, I also have mild diffuse adenomyosis. My husband won’t agree to IVF, and

independent fertility advice any suggestions?
Hi everyone, Hope you’re all ok. We have just completed our second round of IVF ICSI which was unsuccessful. Our clinic is advising that we just do the same again. I don’t think that’s the best option as we’ve done the same protocol twice and hasn’t been successful. I want to speak to a specialist who

Preparing for 2nd cycle
We have just had our first cycle of IVF/ICSI. Unfortunately this failed with a chemical pregnancy and did not get any frosties. We will have our review appointment with the consultant in due course. The nurse has said it will be 6 months before we can try again. Is this a standardised time scale or clinic
