Newly Diagnosed with RA
I was recently diagnosed with RA in April 2018. I am currently on methotrexate, prednisone, and Vitamin D3. I'm taking Vitamin D3 because I have low Vitamin D in my blood. Before my diagnosis..I had excruciating pain and swelling in my knees and almost every joint in my body. It was difficult to walk

Help with new blood results please.
So, here I am. 6 weeks after having ivf stopped for the 2nd time as their lab results came back with a TSH of 10.75. I went to the GP immediately following this, and she said my TSH was normal with 4.00. I know that means nothing, and she knows very little/ nothing about Hypothyroidism, Hashimotos Anyhow

Holiday is over now to get sorted out.....
Well we had a lovely time despite my back causing me trouble and my knee, It has been very painful. I have had some bites as well and they have become very painful as well and hot and itchy. I ended up with steroid cream to ease them. I have never been bitten like this before let alone suffering from

Is my constant itchy scalp neuritis?
My issue dates back 7 years where I had an intensely itchy scalp like a crawling sensation for a month. It has since come back for 2 weeks at a time then disappears. Until last year when it came back April 2017 it has gone for 2 months then has been there pretty much for a year. It is an unbearable need

Hair fall is worsening after taking b12 weekly injections
Hi all, I started experiencing severe hair fall and fatigue 2months back and was diagnosed with low ferritin and vitamin d3. Ferritin is 22.6 and vitamin d3 is 13. Felt a little better after supplementing and hairfall reduced to a very little extent. My dr doubted I might have b12 deficiency as well

Amitriptiline for headaches
What are your thoughts on amitriptiline for headaches please? I’ve just seen my GP as I started getting unbearable headaches for 2-3 days a week 2 months ago. I haven’t had a headache for 7 years since I left work to start a family. I don’t have any unmanageable stress and haven’t made any recent diet

The finer points
Recently I was asked to share a few pointers sort of secrets to my success. What lifestyle changes did I make. There is really only one. Once upon a time I wanted to die. I had lost everything to a methamphetamine addiction. I was alone, lonely, and living in a garage. Life had lost all meaning.

PA or not PA?
Hi, I have a family history of PA, though I have never been diagnosed myself. I have been Hypothyroid for 5 years, since having had RAI for Hyperthyroid in 2013. I have posted the results for those on the TUK site. I wondered if someone would be able to take a look at these results and let me know what

Horrible horrible migraines
hello all! As some of you know, i've started taking Synthroid about a month ago (25 mcgs/ day) Still haven't gone back for my 6 weeks to potentially up the dose. I'm also taking 5000 IU of Vitamin D3 + 50 mcg of K2 every other day. I'm also supposed to start taking Flutamide (anti-androgen) for my PCOS

Supplements advice.
Hi, I’m currently supplementing vitamin D3, K2, magnesium citrate and selenium+zinc. I take my levothyroxine in the morning. Then I take vitamin D3 and K2 after my lunch. For magnesium citrate, I take it after my dinner. I just wonder when is the best/right time to take my selenium + zinc ?
