Creatinine Question
I've just been doing some reading on the subject and apparently
Testosterone
Replacement causes muscle growth, which in turn causes Creatinine levels to go up.

PSA suppression
Enough cells able to return to their "normal" pre-ADT state to crowd out the advanced cells that are suddenly at a disadvatage with restored
testosterone
levels. Of note: I began ADT & the
testosterone
reset at the same time.

PSA following Lupron and question on scans
He just had his first appt following treatment: PSA is 0.5 and
testosterone
is negative ! (-20) question: I read that after Lupron pSA should be under 0.1. Is this true ? And Should we be concerned that he’s not there yet?

Update, small cell
He came off HT December 2021 but
testosterone
hasn't really recovered (last reading was 2.4 as a UK measurement should be 10 I believe) PSA has been undetectable from early on. He's recently had a lung screening scan where which detected a small lung tumour which will be treated by SBRT.

When to do certain blood tests and why.
My GP did a DEXA and
testosterone
test as a baseline prior to commencing Radiation. My RO did a
testosterone
at my request prior to radiation and it was not detected after two months on Lupron..
My question is how often should I be getting a
test and what is the rationale for this.

Was there ever really a chance for a cure?
Now, my non-medical view of things is convincing me that what the Stampede protocol actually did by including the third year of ADT was smash for many years the production of
testosterone
so that there was not a rebound of cancer growing conditions for a longer while.

Dosage level
All PSA since Dec of 2023 have been <0.04 and
testosterone
has been <7. Based on this date is the dosage of Abiraterone ever reduced even further to say 500 mg? I had a follow up last month with the Nurse Practitioner at he Cancer center as my Blood work was all good.

combining standard PCA care with alternative care
At this PSA level I believe the alternative treatment will kill more cancer cells than my
testosterone
can replace. Terminating the cancer rather than treating it just like the two cases cited by the U of Maryland.

I owe you an update
Even though my PSA is 0.2 on July 10 and my
testosterone
is 4, and I am healthy, the thought of treating metastatic occurrences is daunting due to my age. We will see. In the meantime, I am celebrating my new life extension by returning to my roots with a revised persona. I am going cowboy.

Binding globulins...
I started
testosterone
as part of my HRT 8 months ago and a bit of research suggests T might affect CBG so perhaps this is the cause of low bound cortisol when there seems plenty of free.

UCLA RO says that since it's been only 4 mo since stop of 4 ms RT & 4ms orgo and my T is 80 - more t than baseline (286) may trigger cancer
I have read and researched and I thought that you could take T up to the 4-500's (midway and be safe. ) as long as you avoid high levels of
testosterone
.
I have read that giving
after Radiation due to the "saturation theory" was Ok , and
testosterone
doesn't trigger reoccurrence!

Increased inflammation-flare?
In September last year my rheumatologist asked if while I was at Mayo Clinic I could see an endocrinologist about a possible
testosterone
issue. That was ok but I mentioned y long term prednisone, and getting off of them. I was put on 20mg hydrocortisone 10 in am and 10 at 3pm.

Can post-BCR use of Tadalafil add risk?
(sure it could have been something else) Though on Lupron/Abi since August, we had a <40
testosterone
reading scare last month ( I guess I will call the place that gave that reading), though we retested soon after and TT normal at <10.
