My shoulder and top of my left arm has given me some problem now for over a year. I thought I had pulled a muscle so left it to get better itself. The last few months, its made me feel sick and when I exercise it seems to aggravate it so I went to see a physio who gave me exercises for a few months but

Pelvic floors -- a pain to remember but not with this App!
Wonders will never cease -- I have done all my exercises religiously for over 10 days. Great app by Olson called Kegel Trainer on iPhone App Store -- and am sure there will be Android equivalents. Nice, simple to use and discreet on the old reminders...builds up the time and levels gently. Not all of

Has anyone tried the Barefoot Running (Vibrams) 'thing' or the invisible shoe 'thing'? Any ideas whether it really does help heels???
Hi, because of horrid heel spurs and
tendonitis
I've been looking at all the reports about Barefoot running. There seems to be such a mess of information - traditional physio/ortho people saying "no go" and others saying it actually stretches achilles tendons and reduces spurs.

W1R2 and......
I did it ! I had hoped I would be ok after the ankle pain etc on day 1 but after the third "run" interval, I got into it and the time flew! Am on Nike + iPod and the results tonight show my fastest miles - 2.31 in 32 mins but that's with just 8 mins of running, the rest at brisk walk. Tonight

Had to abandon a run for first time :( how long should i rest my hamstring?
Earlier this week I ran for 25 minutes and Laura told me I'm a runner. But now I'm hobbling about wonderng when I can run next. I've had twinges of pain in soft tissue at the back of my knee and after wk6 r3 that became more constant. So I headed out yesterday to do a shorter run - one ofo the ones

Is it REALLY necessary to have a rest day in between runs? I am on W3R2
Although 30lbs overweight, I have been going to the gym to do various cardio and strength training on and off for over a year now. I am doing C25k to lose weight, get fit and eventually run 5k races. Yesterday I completed W3R1 on the treadmill. My legs were not tired at all (I can leg press 200lbs

Cold mornings. More prone to muscle injury?
I'm just starting out on this, after 2 false starts due to injury. I ran Thursday afternoon and was absolutely fine. But yesterday morning, it was very cold. After about 10 minutes I felt a familiar pain building up in my calf. I cut my session short, walked for a bit then jogged VERY gently back to

thigh pain?
I have polyarthritis and fibromyalgia. I have not slept more than about 4hrs a day at less than an hour a time . I am exhausted. My leg muscles feel like they're on fire, tender and as if I've had a good kicking, my thigh muscles feel twisted and ripped. I try to move my adjustable bed in many combinations

Foot injury update
Well it's getting better and I can now walk without a problem or pain. I'm going to try and run tomorrow after work and if there's even a hint of pain I will stop. But I need to go running! I've had a completely crap weekend as a result of this and some other stuff going on. Strangely I don't actually

Gotta run!
For various, mostly annoying reasons, I hadn't run since Monday, and needed to run today. I still feel that if I leave it too long I'll fall off the wagon. Set out to do Stamina. Hmmm. Listening to Laura explaining the plan for today, I felt decidedly daunted. There was no way I could do this

Mad array of symptoms
I seem to have the most ridiculous problems with this condition: complete lack of energy, burning feet, aching muscles and joints,
tendonitis
, dizziness and racing heart.

Return after injury
Hello everyone. Lovely to see so many new bloggers on here! I've had a 2 month "break" due to a foot injury but now I'm back and raring to go. I got to week 7 last time and was a bit obsessed both with the running and this site!! I loved the buzz so much I stupidly ignored the pain in my foot.

C25K with international travel
Started writing this while delayed at an airport ..... and thought I would share my C25K experience for other road warriors out there. Background: Male, age 47, weight 113kg, last ran for more than a bus in high school, I do a sedentary job with much international travel, do some cycling,
