Hysteroscopy,Polypectomy and Mirena Insertion
Hello, I started having problems in my lower abdomen in April and I visited the gynecologist and she suspected endometriosis since my periods were pretty heavy and painful. She referred me to a specialist and she discovered that I had a polyp in uterus. On Tuesday morning I went in for hysteroscopy

So lucky
I want to begin by saying YOU ARE ALL AMAZING. I am in awe of your strength, your courage and your compassion. To be so generous and show such empathy when you are going through bad times brings tears to my eyes. It may sound weird but I am honoured to have touched the edges of your community. And that's

I have been suffering from severe endometriosis for many years, but in November 2015, I began having severe pain due to an endometrioma on my left ovary and fallopian tube. I had a laparoscopy in February when the endometrioma was drained and adhesions removed. Three to four weeks after surgery the pain

Bloating after surgery
Hi I had a total abdominal hysterectomy, oophorectomy and omentectomy 4 weeks ago and have now started getting a bloated stomach again together with firmness and discomfort above and to the left of my belly button. Has anyone else also experienced this. Should I be concerned. Thanks Carole

Please advise: can I still have endometriosis after hysterectomy + oophorectomy 28 years ago?
I'm 74. I'm still taking HRT as unable to withdraw without black depression - could this be "feeding" adhesions? 34 years ago after a laparoscopy I was diagnosed with endometriosis after presenting with interstitial cystitis, gut, general pelvic + back pain (which sometimes reached my neck and head

New to all this
I was diagnosed a few wees ago, a complete shock as I was having a hysterectomy and ovary removal as a precaution, as I had some abnormal cells in my womb. During the op they found tumours all over the place. Have since had debulking and staging surgery, which leaves one inoperable tumour attached

3rd round egg collection done - the horse scale
So ladies, we had our third cycle of egg collection today - 4 eggs recovered. I thought I'd share my experience for anyone who hasn't been through this yet. My right ovary seems to be quite hard to reach which means they've needed to apply external pressure to ensure they could get to it a couple of

BrCA Positive and New to This...
Hi there. I've recently been diagnosed with the BrCA gene (for those who are unsure, Angeline Jolie had this. In a nutshell, I will most likely have cancer in my lifetime occurring in my breasts/ovaries, and so measures such as mastectomy and oophorectomy are very common). IVF has been recommended to
