Addition of Metastasis-Directed Therapy to Intermittent Hormone Therapy for Oligometastatic PC. The EXTEND Phase 2 Randomized Clinical Trial
MDT and intermittent ADT offer a progression free survival advantage when compared with intermittent ADT alone. "MDT facilitated a longer time with eugonadal testosterone as part of an intermittent hormone therapy strategy." "Time to new lesion failure was longer for patients randomized to combined

Amenorrhoea and endometriosis
Hi all, I wondered if any of you have/or know if itās possible to have pain associated with endometriosis, whilst not (for the last 5m) having periods? I had excision surgery for uterosacral ligament and POD endo 6m ago, had one horrendous period 2 weeks later and nothing since. On no hormonal treatment

Your thoughts on getting off ADT while staying on AR inhibitor?
I often wonder why am i taking Orgovyx AND darolutamide especially since daro has the strongest binding to the androgen receptors than any of the other ariās. What or how would normal T help if im blocking the Andro receptor anyway ? The only
three
things i can think of is: 1) Since darolutamide

Why do we stop treatment
I have to post my experience of having once stopped treatment. I see various posts here with guys asking about stopping their treatments. I started treatment when I was 52 years old. ADT, Chemo and radiation. After treatment PSA went to undetectable. After 2 years with undetectable PSA I thought I was

Getting private prescriptions on NHS
Seeing GP soon to try and push for a diagnosis (rising TSH over time, low T4, now private test showing high antibodies), but I'm also booked into a private thyroid clinic next month. This is mainly because I want things to be managed at least initially by someone who is confident in terms of dosing and

Bipolar Androgen Therapy Followed by Androgen Receptor Inhibition as Sequential Therapy for Prostate Cancer

Worrying study on long-term ADT (esp Enza)
I just came across a study (2019 International Journal of Pharmacology) that suggests that long-term use of ADT can cause neuroendicrine differentiation, leading to rapid spread and more aggressive spread. (the article was actually about the use of propanalol to counteract the effect of NED, but the

NKX3.1 found in liver biopsy
The nkx3.1 was found in a recent liver biopsy. What does it tell the oncologist and what treatment would shrink the tumor ? Never heard of it and when looking it up it is confusing as it is in all prostate tumors from what I have read. They indicate it is a biomarker but how do you get rid of the tumor

ART Radiation dose and ADT in localized PCa: a meta-regression of 5-year outcomes in phase III random control trials; 21,429 patients
I have had 21 months of ADT and also have decided to stop short of my suggested 24 months total treatment as of December, 2022; I cant take the low TET anymore and its consequent impacts. Just when I was doubting my choice to move to long term ADT (LTADT) after salvage radiation (sRT) I stumbled on this

What do you think?
These are my results and I feel tired, aching muscles and grumpy. Also Iāve had UTIs almost constantly since Christmas. Although I will say my brain fog isnāt anywhere as bad as pre medication which is a light at the end of a very long tunnel! TSH 0.01 (0.27-4.2) no change from 2 grains Free T3 6.1

mini break
well the hormone treatment is going well, slight side effects like hot flushes and tiredness, but not that bad, Iāll be having radiotherapy in May so Iāve booked a mini break for myself and my wife in Santa Ponsa, Majorca at the end of April, seems like a great idea
