Vacation time again

I had the follow up appt with my MO. My PSA is down a notch to 0.2. We decided to follow the original plan of intermittent ADT and I’m starting another ADT vacation. This round of ADT had started with minimal SE’s but in the last month or so it’s gotten worse. My energy level has noticeably decreased and the hot flashes have noticeably increased. And my weight has ticked up. Very annoying.

I have the Go-Go’s ‘Vacation’ rolling around my head now. Hopefully, I’ll get at least a year of vacation.

Please keep us informed. Much interest in intermittent ADT experiences here.

Great luck to you!

The more exercise you get, the less you'll be dependent on vacations to provide relief. A good plan when your future is intermittent ADT. Unfortunately vacations get shorter over time.

Also, I would also not stop at 'Vacation', but create an entire playlist of similar songs. 'Holiday' by Madonna, 'Fly Away' by Lenny Kravitz etc. Randomized clinical trials have proven that listening to holiday-themed songs while on ADT vacations keep PSA lower for longer.😀

Remember it is not an ADT vacation until testosterone recovers to near normal. For some this happens very slowly or not at all. Worth checking testosterone levels periodically to see. If it is not coming back within a few months and PSA is stable, it may be worth discussing TRT while on the vacation (IADT) to allow some of the damage to be repaired.

Yes, I know that quite well. On both of my previous vacations my T level took over 4 months to come back.
