ADT prior to RT
It has been recommended that I use ADT prior to RT. I believe they are intending to use Lupron but I hear there are alternatives with fewer side effects. Any suggestions and studies to support?

Does HBOT stimulate cancerous tissue?
I’m considering HBOT for cystitis and proctitis 11 months after HDR Brachyboost with pelvic SBRT. Just finished 1 year ADT. Here’s my concern. 11 months later, I know my cancerous cells are still in the process of dying and not being able to divide anymore. The idea of HBOT is to increase certain

AUGH!
I have been battling for about 10 years with numerous health issues and was finally diagnosed about 2 years ago with PA along with many of the accompanying issues. Explained most, if not all of my ills. But finding a doctor that is knowledgeable has eluded me. The absolute worst for me is the mental

GRATEFUL
Went to appointment with Radiation Oncologist at Emory St. Joseph's Winship Cancer Center - Dr. Bruce Hershatter. Good guy, no BS, straight shooter. He actually drew it out on a sheet of paper (front & back, back was worse) for me and talked me and my friend through the options (1) and pretty much

Darolutamide (Nubeqa) Vs Enzalutamide ( Xtandi)
Are there any studies comparing efficacy and side effect profile of darolutamide Vs enzalutamide when given together with first generation ADT ? I read that darolutamide does not cross blood brain barrier so may have lesser side effects ?

Headaches and nightmares on T3 monotherapy
Hi, does anyone else get headaches and nightmares on T3 monotherapy? I have read the side effects leaflet and it states that 'headache' and 'insomnia' are two of the side effects; since I have been on T3 only I often wake up in the night and have a very light sleep compared to what I am used to, then

...that is, there is never an end to the worst. I will soon have to undergo radiotherapy for prostate cancer. I am currently undergoing hormone therapy. I am looking for similar experiences and above all advice on how to manage this new situation in cohabitation with PD. Thank you very much.

Treatment awaited
Hi all I just completed my history incorrectly as a post. I have not posted before as I have been a silent member without any worrying ongoing elevations in PSA for about four years. I have keenly observed the posts of members and learned a good deal from them. This post is the follow up on my history

Hello. I was diagnosed about a year ago with stage 4 prostate cancer. I was on hormone therapy but that is no longer surprising the cancer. It is in my bones, currently spreading in my pelvic bone and lumbar. I hope to start chemotherapy in the next month. But with my current health I don’t know

ADT and creativity
I am a composer. Since I had ADT (Eligard - last shot in early April) I have experienced the conventional side effects - hot flashes, larger breasts, shrunken penis, no libido, tiredness. I am hoping those diminish over time. My question is to those who are occupational "creatives" - artists, writers

Looking for any Info for Recent PC Diagnosis
I’m a 62 year old, recently diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer. I’ve been on hormone therapy for 2 weeks and see my oncologist in a week. My PC seems to be aggressive and my PSA is off the charts 885! I would love any positive info I can get.

Dosage question.
I was diagnosed with Graves and overactive thyroid forty four years ago. I had a thyroidectomy and started on synthetic thyroid hormone therapy. I’m 69 now and take 100 mcg of Levothyroxine daily, my TSH is 0.291, low. What dose should I be taking?
