Covid Jabs
Does being hypothyroid and asthmatic qualify anyone aged 60 for a Covid jab this winter, does anyone know? Receptionist at my surgery has just told me not. Although they want me to have a flu jab! I can't figure that out at all... And what do you guys think about having one anyway? I've had three

worsening af
Thanks all for your replies. My af stopped before bed last night, having lasted on and off for 24 hours and having felt worse and more eratic than before. The booster was Pfizer. I shall report on yellow card, thanks. I am now thinking of cancelling the flu jab and won't ever have another covid booster

Shingles vaccine?
I unknowingly (until after) had shingles in March 2023 which I believe, triggered first episode of Afib. Now thinking about having the vaccine, concerned that it will trigger Afib. What are people's experiences of having the vaccine? Do I need it yet. Maybe still have antibodies in my system? Will

Not what I expected!
After feeling unwell, I’ve had a lousy night, tested in the early hours and have Covid! Had the booster 12 days ago and the flu jab on Saturday. it’s Sod’s Law , I was going to say a flare and low adrenal function feels like Covid with Mumps . Hopefully i can get antivirals , they wouldn’t give them

New AF episode - first time with flecanide
Hi wise people I am in AF after a busy day of (with hindsight possibly) too much exercise and a flu jab. So my cardiologist gave me some flecanide to take if happened. So have taken apixaban, bisoprorol and then half an hour later, the flecanide. As I have never taken it before, I am wondering what

Which other drugs are usually used alongside ruxolitinib when it's not having enough effect on its own?
I've been on ruxolitinib for 4 years for my pv. My white count has always been stubbornly high. Consultant has always brushed it off saying it goes with the condition. My last blood test, everything is fine except now my whites have reached an all time high of 45. The consultant mentioned the possibility

Covid/Flu jab query
Thank you to everyone who replied to my post. Overall favourable outcomes following both jabs at same appt but one thing is certain for me, I'm immensely grateful that I live at a time when the protection of a vaccine is available to us all if we choose to take it.

Vertigo? and nausea

Retuximab and vaccines
Just had first round of retuximab after a year, next one due 0ctober 12, (I have been on this drug for last 11 years) it's been a life changer. Now this time because it's late in the year been told I cannot have the flu jab or covid vac until January. Apparently you can have them two weeks before

Wait until I'm pain-free before tapering the Pred?
Hi, I’m a 77 year old lady and I’ve had PMR for 4 years. I was started on 15mg daily Pred and slowly got down to 3mg just over a year ago. However, I then one day had a severe headache and could not speak, I thought it was a mini-stroke. My GP told me anyway to raise my Pred to 10mg and sent me to
