hey wondered what other people’s views are on getting flu Jab? I have asthma so usually get I have my transfer on Saturday (if my embryos keep doing well 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽) not sure if I should have the vaccine before transfer or in the TWW or wait until I know? Any advice or recommendations would be great. Thanks so much xx

flu jab before transfer?
Ask clinic for their advice but it may be a good idea to have the vaccine especially with your history of asthma sooner rather than later
Take care

hi there, I literally just asked my clinic this very question. This was their response:
“We don’t recommend having it 48 hours either side of a procedure, such as egg collection/embryo transfer. “
Hope this helps xx
I’ve just had both my flu and COVID jabs. I think it’s best to do before any potential pregnancy especially if you have something like asthma. I have just avoided immediately before because it can cause fever as a natural response to the jab, and remember it can take 2 weeks for you to be protected after. I would personally avoid in first trimester because of potential of fever but I still think preferable to have jabs than have the illness. Best of luck with your transfer 🍀
Thanks so much for relying and your advice xx
personally I would wait until you know, your transfer is Saturday so too close to get it before hand and you will be forever beating yourself up if it doesn’t work that you should t have got the jab. Of it doesn’t work it’s just a 2 week delay and if it does work you can ask your clinic, you get the flu jab in pregnancy anyways xx
Triggering an immune response around the time of an embryo transfer could be problematic, but get your clinic's advice. I'd personally get it at a different time.
