Did anybody else have to wait long after their surgery was cancelled?

Initially we were told surgery was not an option, however, since we have obtained more information, it seems like it may be an option. My husband has had ED that has been refractory to treatment for over a year prior to diagnosis so that isn't a concern for surgery.

After RALP, BCR, salvage radiation and now PSA >0.02 for almost 3 years now, I am having a minor surgery removing a cyst from my upper back. They are planning on using "twilight" anesthesia since harder to do local on the back. Have had a couple removed from chest, arm, with local and all fine.

Hi I am just wondering if anyone has had or has any information on a Right Thoracotomy ? I am now due to have my aortic valve replaced and this procedure has been offered to me. There’s not a lot of information on this so hoping someone can help. Thanks

Like some who have had kidney issues I have also experienced eye issues and had to undergo omni glaucoma surgery.

I had my surgery on the 14th Sep, I have 6/7 incision wounds which are healing nicely. The hospital didn’t advise me on when I can swim again, was anyone told when they could ? Thank you ! xx

Hi I am wondering what is the average time scales of being diagnosed with aortic leaky heart valve and having it replaced ?

This feels like a stupid question but I’m going to ask it anyway 😂 My MDT review is now complete, I’ve been added to their urgent surgery wait list but was advised to accept a cancellation given the state I’m in.

I am considering the surgery as it interferes somewhat with everyday life, but is surgery safe with a history of CLL and the bleeding/clotting risks. The consultant thinks it should be ok and would avoid an incision and go for keyhole/ robotic surgery.

I had my surgery last Saturday, it’s Thursday now. They found dead and active endo tissue all over, made 4.5ish incisions, one removal of a cyst. I’ve never had surgery before and only was able to start walking (hobbling) yesterday but only up and down the stairs.

I had surgery 4 weeks ago and im just wondering when people were able to have intercourse after surgery. I know everyone is different. I have been told 4 weeks post op was an okay time but I’m just wondering whether others found they needed to wait longer or whether that was okay for them

Hi all today i had surgery for a squint in my left eye which is my weak eye. I have wet AMD in both eyes and have Eyelea injections. Also have ocular hypertension in both eyes and use drops. What fun!

Maybe just some understanding and also is there any way I can push for surgery sooner. How bad do you have to be ro get help these days!
