If your surgeon feels safe in doing it fully informed of your status, I'd be hopeful. I had the keyhole surgery for a lesser procedure (Ingula hernia), but the level of articulation that they achieve with robotics is night and day better and that's with a very successful surgeon before that innovation.
You will of course have to ultimately choose but a lot of it is vetting the person doing the surgery. Get recommendations. I'd also look into prophylactic antibiotics. 🙂
thank you so much for your advice . The consultant is fully informed and has operated on me in the past also for a hernia.
I was very interested in what you said about robotics as not something in know much about, but will look into it further.
I have always had prophylactic antibiotics, but things have now become quite acute and affecting daily life. Luckily the CLL is in remission so should be less of a risk , but it's still a big decision
