Balanitis post surgery

for anyone who has suffered from the different forms of balanitis,

I have 2 questions,

[1] After circumcision surgery did the redness and or discolouration gradually fade from penis head?

[2] Did the moisture content [that's usually present] subside so that gland looks and feels dry/dryish?

You're welcome. I was worried that the circumcision wouldn't cure things but it worked out well

Is it the removal of the foreskin that allows the head to dry out thus not providing a breeding ground for bacteria? I'm not read up on BXO

Yes bacteria love a warm moist atmosphere. When the foreskin is tight and difficult to retract it provides a perfect breeding ground for them to grow.

I have it but nothing to do w/ PCa. Is most balanitis bacterial? I've been using Lotrimin w/o benefit, thinking it was fungal. What OTC anti-bacterial works?

Yes Zoons is a difficult thing to get rid of completely and leaves the skin red

Balanitis can be caused by diabetes that is not controlled very well. BXO can lead to squamous cell carcinoma.

Natural human biont on the skin does not need moisture. Pathogenic bacteria and viruses need moisture. After a tight circumcision, it is dry everywhere and within 1-2 months all pathogens die. Creams don't work because the lower layers of the skin continue to be moist. Only complete drying of all skin layers will cause a complete and permanent cure.
