Anxiety symptoms came back
Sounds like health anxiety. Some one you love going through that can be traumatic. And yeah it can kick start your anxiety.
My suggestion is to go see a doctor and get a work up done, a checkup if you will. Make sure everything is running okay. To help put your mind at ease. That way you can tell your anxiety to bite it. That you are fine. These are just sensations. Sensations can't hurt you and you are okay.
Also talk to your counselor or therapist about the traumatic experience with your sibling. How much that scared you.
Btw I can sort of relate. My older sister had a bypass surgery on her heart. She's now part of the zipper club as they say. She also has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure. But she's still with us and is doing better.
Thanks mike

I remember you
I'm glad you came back to talk about what's going on.
Seeing your brother go through that is a very traumatic experience. It's going to increase fear and anxiety and the sense of control you have worked so hard for.
The key here is to talk about this. Don't hold it in. Speak with your therapist/MD/anyone that is supportive. That's the mental heath piece
The other part would be a medical check up to be sure your health is good.
There is no predicting how long these symptoms will last. The hope would be as your brother continues to improve that things will get better for you. I would think having yourself checked out will also put some of your fears to rest.

Is it a medication you can get a higher dosage for? The doctor would change my dosage when things got really bad, then reduce it when things got better.
