Few hours to my OHS
Dear all, In about ten hours, I should be on my way to theatre to have my ASD closed via open heart
surgery
! Strange enough, I feel relatively calm and no tense as all my friends, family and some of my nurses are.

Chest Twinges after ASD closure?
I am on day 4 after a ASD closure using the wonder of key hole
surgery
. I am doing fine aside from the fatigue of the general anaesthetic but I am experiencing some funny twinges in my heart. I guess that’s the organ getting used to the foreign device?

Bevacizumab v Niraparib
I've had chemo/debulking
surgery
/ chemo, and have just come to the end of the post
surgery
chemo. I've been told all along that I will continue with Bevacizumab as a maintenance treatment (I've had 3 rounds of it alongside chemo, 2 before the
surgery
and 1 after).

Hubby had his bypass
Hubby is out of
surgery
after his quadruple bypass. They said it went well. He's on a ventilator obviously, and they're going to wake him up in an hour or so, and see if any tubes can be removed. Thank you all so much for your support. I'm going to visit tomorrow

Cannot make up my mind...should I have POP surgery...or not?
I am using a pessary and have thought about
surgery
, but just do not want to go through all the pain/healing of a
surgery
and it does not really improve the prolapse without long term side effects from the
surgery
.

Dental advice 7 weeks post AVR
Hi all, I’m 7 weeks post
surgery
after AVR, and feel I’m doing well so far. Unfortunately I managed to brake a tooth last night and am worried it might cause some sort of infection that could affect the new valve/heart.

Three weeks after open heart surgery
During the day I feel ok, walking around, doing light jobs around the house. In the morning I feel sore and struggle to get out of bed, in the evening I have a painful pain across my left breast, ribs and down my back and continues even after taking painkillers.

I will need an ITU bed following
surgery
. I was hoping they could do both procedures at the same time, but apparently not. Has anyone else had similar problems?

Bleeding when opening the bowels
I used to have blood on the toilet paper commonly before my
surgery
and it seemed to be improving post
surgery
(7 weeks post op) but then today I had cramping when I went and then the bleeding. I wonder if I have endo inside my bowel and it was missed on previous checks in there?

Just some good news
Just wanted to update you all on this in case anyone is thinking of
surgery
to fix something non-cancer related. My husband was looking into getting a hip replacement back in 2021 when he was diagnosed with PC. So the hip replacement was put on hold,.
