I have been on Colomycin nebuliser for many, many years which I obtained from our local hospital. Now my consultant has decided for me to obtain the prescription from my GP surgery. But when I collected the meds from my local pharmacy they had dispensed Promixin instead.
Anyone else had this problem and any opinions please on which is best. I’m colonised with pseudomonas, I have bronchiectasis and asthma. Thank you so much for any advice or experience.

I was just about to say the same as the previous comment that it is more likely the same thing (had same ingredients) but a cheaper brand. They have done the same thing with my salbutamol inhaler. When I questioned this, got the same response. 😊
Hi, I am in a similar position for the same reason, pseudomonas. I have used a nebuliser for some years with Colomycin and still do. I think you need to ask your respiratory consultant ind pharmacy if this is OK. It might be but best to check Good luck!
