Appointment

Hi to all

I had my eight week appointment yesterday since having OHS. ECG normal for me, feel a lot better than before the surgery and back to daily routine, hopefully back to work next month.

My echo wasn’t as positive, it shows the new valve is leaking and narrowing ( mild at present) my chest is still heavy but I’m sure that is to be expected and they explained to me the thickness of my wall is abnormal which was expected before the surgery but not afterwards.

I have taken this all well and understand my heart condition is ongoing and so is the operations and I feel I have been very lucky compared to a lot of others.

Just wondering if anyone else with congenital heart disease has experienced this with there results after surgery?

will be interested to read any replies but what a worry. Did they advise you on their next steps? I’m 10 weeks post op but have another three weeks to wait until my appointment and feeling anxious about the results. Keep us updated x

To be honest it’s just on going and I accept that, some heart conditions can be fixed others can be treated temporarily.
