Rise in CA125
I’ve recently have had Pneumonia and Pleurisy. My CA125 was checked yesterday and my CNS has just called me to say that it has risen to 64. She also said that it can rise due to the pneumonia and they will discuss it at next weeks MDT meeting. There is a possibility they may repeat my bloods in 4 weeks

Another round of Covid vaccine in UK …..
News of a new variant and adapted Covid vaccine is in the UK media to-day, raising the question for me whether to get it or not. I’m nervous as I recall my PMR starting 2 days after my very first jab (Pfizer) - my system was in a very stressed state at the time. I am currently half-way through 5-week

My glove upgrade lost its buzz..
Hi, My PD/Tass glove prototype seems to have lost its “buzz” when my partner swapped the old/vinyl look (on the right in the picture) with the clean new look (on the left in the picture). Using the SAME power/arduino etc. it seemed that it should work great until I put them on my hands and realized

Anal Cancer - after effects

just had a shocking test result…
we’ve been trying for nearly 3 years naturally…both me and my partner had tests early on from the NHS and as his sperm test results came back with a very high count we thought he was all good… they never asked for a second test because of this and it took ages for anyone to notice they had not actually

Spotting early and slow slow periods
Hi, I’ve been trying to conceive for a few years now and have done a couple of unsuccessful ivf cycles. I have tons of eggs and respond very well to treatment. However, I don’t think I am “normal”. We’ve identified quite severe male factor issues and so went for ICSI and we ought to be having another

(SENSITIVE) Do we try again?
I’m 36, so lucky to have two beautiful, healthy children (both ICSI babies), but I had always dreamed of three. I don’t want this to come across as insensitive in anyway (the reason for our infertility is as a result of years of chemotherapy my husband endured, after being diagnosed with an aggressive

Are Covid jab rules different in Scotland?
We moved to Scotland in April. Can we book a Covid booster as we did in England or is it different here?

Confused about the NHS process for IVF
Hello My husband (age 37) and I (age 32) have been referred to the local infertility service via my GP in Leicestershire. My husband has severe oligospermia, so we were told by the embryologist that we would need ICSI. Also, my AMH is only 9pmol/l. I'm confused about what happens next... I've been

urgent - re steroid course of prednisolone tablets and local steroid injection at the same time?
Hi has anyone had a local steroid injection at the same time as being on a course of prednisolone tablets ? I wondered if this was a common occurrence ? and why bother with the local steroid injection whilst on a course of prednisolone steroids anyway ? there must be some reasons for and against

Round Sperm
hi ladies, I had my second egg collection yesterday - getting 17! My husband had to give a second sample however as he had really high levels of ‘round sperm’ this can indicate an infection somewhere - but he’s not been ill for probably best part of a year + we didn’t have this issue on EC 1, in November

COVID and Pegylated Interferon
At my last Haematology appointment the Dr told me that Interferon helps strengthen the immune system. I have also read that Interferon has been given to some patients with COVID to help with their recovery. I therefore wonder if the latest upcoming booster vaccination is required. Does anyone have

Hayfever medication ahead of stimulation round-worried!
Hi all, Hoping someone can help me calm a little ahead of our next IVF round. My husband and I will be starting ICSI round 2 in a couple of weeks. We've avoided all unnecessary medication in the lead up but on Thursday night last week we were both really suffering with hayfever and took half a piriton

Last full ICSI cycle
Hi Lovelies, After seeing everyone around me get pregnant in the last 7 years of ttc. We’ve decided that this will be my last ICSI round (7th cycle). I’m grieving and hoping that this might be the one. I mentioned in my last post consultation that I have a barely there 7mm endometrium on the day of

IVF or ICSI age 40
hello, I’m just waiting for our DNA fragmentation test to come back for my husband but I’m considering doing IVF instead of ICSI this time around. I have done IVF in the past which was successful but I was younger. Anyone have positive IVF stories at the age of 40.
