Infection without cough or fever?
Is it possible to have a chest infection without a cough or fever? I've just gotten over a cold (2nd one in a month) and again my asthma is flaring but I also feel uncomfortable/pain in the back of my lungs. I don't have a cough, but if I do, it's dry and kind of squeaks. š¤·š»āāļø

Sort of flu
I think Iāve got something flu like. I feel achy and horrible, coughing and exhausted. I have been very slowly reducing steroids and am down to 0.5 mg. Iāve been getting shooting pains in one knee and have painful fingers, Iāve never had these particular symptoms before! I donāt know if pmr is flaring

Coping in the heat
Hi, i have finally got a diagnosis of ET and have started on pegasys, fourth injection this week. It has been warm here the last couple of days and I have found work to be extremely exhausting. Does anyone else suffer in the heat? I work in a lab so need to wear a labcoat. I have asked for an occupational

covid
I have been taking a bunch of drugs for five years since my heart attack. Now I have tested positive for covid. My wife says she recalls the cardiologist once telling me that if I suffered covid then I should stop taking one of these drugs but does not recall which. I am hesitant to bother the cardiologist

Covid vaccinations
https://www.england.nhs.uk/who-is-at-increased-risk-from-covid-19/ This lists people with LD as at increased risk from Covid. So why are poeple with LD excluded from having Covid vaccines this autumn? Most especially when their death rate from Covid is 3 times that of the general population?

I have been Hypo for 20+ years and since last winter I have pins and needle like pain in my feet. This is almost constant but becomes much worse when cold. Toes are cold to the touch and not pink. Dr has diagnosed Reynards but Iām not sure this is correct as it doesnāt appear in bursts. Does anyone

SULFASALAZINE & FOOD POISONING - Is Anyone Else Affected?
In the first 20 months of taking Sulfasalazine I had food poisoning 8 times from food where no other partakers had any problems - 4 times with vomiting and diarrhoea (I had 2 such cases in the previous 60 years). My GP put it down to the immunosuppressant effects of Sulfasalazine making me more susceptible

Taking hydroxychloroquine but Iāve just found out that I cannot get the Autumn Covid booster with my GP
I booked my flu jab this morning and was told I was no longer eligible for an autumn Covid booster, which I thought odd as I was always invited early for other Covid jabs as well as being offered anti viral meds, if needed. Does this sound right to you? I am only taking hydroxychloquine and am just

Coughing badly after virus ...
Hi allI had a really nasty cold/cough which has left me with a bad cough and a flare up of asthma. Currently on holiday in India and although I am taking Fostair with a a couple of shots of ventolin inbetween, the cough is not dissipating. It's particularly bad at night. The pollution in India is bad

Lung nodule
I had a CT scan in hospital while being treated for pneumonia. I understand it could be due to infections or scaring in my lungs. It is also quite common (35%) for people to have these. I going back for an x ray in early January.

Possible NHS misdiagnosis saying clear for HPV when private home test says positive with variant 16 (the test and smear were 14 days apart)
I have tested HPV positive for 2 smears a year apart, the last one was Oct 2023. So I went for my third on 18 Jan this year and have just been given the all clear and told it will repeated in 5 years (which I doubt as I will be 71 then). HOWEVER, I had already done a home test with Medicines Online
