Urodynamics test or not?
Hi. Just a brief background. I am on the waiting list for pelvic organ prolapse. I have incontinence issues and I was prescribed Solifenacin by the hospital consultant which worked for about a month then stopped. Because of this the doctor has delayed me signing the consent forms for my surgery and

Cardiovascular issues
Anybody out there with extra-cranial GCA / LVV, have any cardiovascular issues? I was having some shortness of breath, sleepiness & lightheadedness. I'm in the middle of testing for that, but a CAT scan showed I have a dilated aortic root and pericardial effusion. Those explained my symptoms, but neither

Vestibular Neuritis
Hi everyone, I woke up on New Year's Day with the room spinning around me. Very scary! Diagnosed as vestibular neuritis. My question is, I usually self inject weekly which I have continued to do. I don't know if I'm imagining it but the vertigo symptoms seem to greatly improve for a couple of days

Severely bitter taste when eating & drinking - ?FostairNEXThaler
Wondering if anyone else has experienced a very bitter taste in the mouth - both whilst eating & drinking (& generally too) when taking FostairNEXThaler? I’ve recently been discharged home after another hospital admission (asthma exacerbation secondary to Covid) so the dysguesia may very well be Covid-related

friend has shingles - advice please
hi, Can I have some advice please. my friend who is a beautician is scheduled to do a facial & nails for me tomorrow. I’ve had chicken pox and her Dr has said she shouldn’t pass it in because it’s on her bottom and she won’t be touching it so in that respect it’s in a good place. Any thoughts? Thank

I had a medical crisis, I didn't die, I wonder why
Last summer I had a medical emergency. The odds were it would kill me but I survived with few life threatening consequences. The problems I had are commonly fatal for 80 year old men. There is a message in my experience which I hope to share with you in this article. It is a bit longer than most

first orthotics
disappointed. The podiatrist hardly looked at the foot and spent most of the appointment typing then without any measurements or gait test said he’s ordered me a pair that would arrive by post in the fullness of time. I suspect these will be no better than the well known brand I ordered online and

Buprenorphine
Hello, have many UK people found it easy or hard to get Buprenorphine px by GP to control pain from RLS? I have been withdrawing from Pramepexole and using only codeine however it is now not effective in controlling my pain. I have a GP appointment in a few days and was going to ask for Buprenorphine

Heavy cold
Apologies if this seems quite trivial but I have had a heavy cold for the past 2/3 days which at present is getting worse. Have tested negative for Covid so no concerns about that so I’m just wondering whether to miss my medication tomorrow or whether it won’t make any difference. I take 20mg MTX but

Recovery from colds/flu whilst on Adalimumab
Hello,I was diagnosed with Crohn's 18 months ago and have been on Adalimumab for the last 12 months. In that time I have managed to avoid colds/flu until a couple of weeks ago. Have felt quite unwell and presently doesn't seem to be ending. My question is really to other people who have a reduced immune

dipyridamole
I’m going to try this next week when I get an Rx. Looking for any pointers from anyone who has had success with it. I gather that 225mg is a common dose for RLS (three 75mg pills). I intend to start with one pill and titrate up to three quickly if there are no issues. I’m currently using buprenorphine

I got covid and went to hospital. They said I have severe heart failure. Since leaving hospital my pro bnp level has dropped significantly. I think the covid caused the heart failure. Anyone hear of that happening?

Goodmorning, I was first diagnosed with PMR back in 2014, usual treatment with pred, taper etc. Then diagnosed in 2021 with Fibromyalgia aand on 2mg maintenance dose of pred & 60mg Duloxetine plus Co codamol as needed. New to here
I have had tinnitus for a couple of years now. It started, I believe, with a bout of COVID. I had COVID for the 3rd time in October 2023 and the tinnitus has and is continuing to get worse. It's constant buzzing sound with clicking noises and now earache.
