Hi.
Just a brief background.
I am on the waiting list for pelvic organ prolapse. I have incontinence issues and I was prescribed Solifenacin by the hospital consultant which worked for about a month then stopped. Because of this the doctor has delayed me signing the consent forms for my surgery and recommended that I first have a Urodynamics test to see if they need to do something with my bladder during the surgery.
I initially agreed but having done a little reading online and with how inconvenient my appointment time is (not allowed to change the day/time and would mean starting all over again with being referred and waiting on the list)
I'm starting to have doubts about going for it but I'm worried about what they will suggest if I decline the test. I have awful symptoms from my prolapses and don't want to do anything that will delay the surgery, which I'm assuming it wont be too much longer now.
What are the chances of them accepting that I don't want the test and moving on to sign my consent forms?
I went to my most recent appointment to do just that but saw a different consultant who sugge we don't sign them and to do this test first, so it didn't go as I'd planned.
