Residual tumour regrowth
Hi there, I had surgery in 2021 to remove a large AN. My follow-up MRI scans showed that all was well--until the last one, which shows regrowth. It's slight (from 17 x 5 mm to 22 x 7 mm) but it still really scares me. My consultation with my neurosurgeon (the one who saved me before) isn't until the

Drugs after stent
On 5th July I had a stent placed in my right coronary artery which was blocked to 94% in one place. I am grateful for this life-saving surgery. I also have paroxysmal atrial fibrillation which is becoming more frequent. I am on a whole raft of drugs now and they are seriously impinging on my quality

irritable and achy reducing from 6 to 5.5 pred
Dear fellow travellers, I have been reading all the recent posts and responses about reducing from 6mg to 5.5mg. I got down to 6mg 11 months ago but had surgery and shingles and eventually went back up to 10mg. Slowly got down to 6mg. GP told me to reduce to 5mg but I felt that was too much of a drop

How do they decide which treatment?
Hello. Back on August 21 at my bi-annual hematology checkup, my hematologist said she wanted to see me again in six weeks because my WBC had gone from 25.1 (last February) to 45.8, and if it continued to go up we might have to start talking about treatment. I have been in W&W since 2017, and this is

Running capacity after mitral valve replacement
I had mechanical mitral valve replacement surgery last year. On Warfarin and Bisoprolol 5mg.I did a 5K parkrun yesterday in 31m 35s. I feel I had more in my locker to reduce race time further. Considering I have mechanical mitral valve and taking beta blocker Bisoprolol, how much further can I physically

Enbrel
Hi all, I am starting Enbrel this week after having been on humira for 6 mos. I had no bad reactions with humira- it just was not controlling my RA. I guess I am not too eager to take my first shot for fear of getting sick. I am recovering from foot fusion surgery and really feel like I have no

Feeling lost and confused
I'm not sure what I'm hoping to gain from this post other than to maybe speak to people who understand what this is like. So far I manage pain with a tens machine and painkillers but things are getting worse. I have pain most days, it's worse after sex and I'm now spotting after sex. A few months
