I am at the end of my patience, really frustrated. Had some tests done in Romania, my home country ( i now live in the Uk) And my b12 levels came as

Lincs Pain management changes
You may not know this as from May 2019 the Pain Management Services have been privatised. Pain Management Workshops are your first stage. I have just had my 22nd Epidural Steroid Injection and to be honest it is my last one. They work but you should only have a maximum of 25 in your lifetime (consultant

Light at the end of the tunnel...I hope
Some may know that I’ve had a real fight on my hands; from not having a plan, to it all being in my head, to vcd and to just being fobbed off. The past 4 weeks have been hell, with my ‘asthma’ flaring, an attack, 3weeks of pred and a subsequent infection. On Wednesday I had a bike test whilst they

Yes, I have a brain injury, but no, I am not thick.
Just need a quick vent..... Today I had a steroid injection in my thumb at my local hospital. Very efficient lady did it, very little pain, very pleased. I won't bore you with the details, but I had to explain to her that I have great difficulties with organising my thoughts, remembering stuff, planning

Opinions please (2)!
Hi I wrote a couple of weeks ago about my ankles being swollen and inability to walk etc, having been on MXT 10mg then 15mg since Jan. This morning had a review (with a Doctor not a nurse - get me!!) he put a steroid injection into each ankle but did not increase MXT or add anything else in. When I

Treatment options
Hi everyone, I have an appointment on 6th June at the CTD clinic and I'm certain the subject of further treatment will be brought up as this was briefly addressed at my last consultation. I was given an intra muscular steroid injection and told that if this was helpful, Azathioprine would be considered

Steroid knee injection
Had fluid aspiration and a steroid injection in my swollen knee this morning. Now I feel years younger all over! It may just be euphoria because the knee feels so much better, but does anyone know if the steroid is absorbed into my body - or if it might be pred and how much? Should have asked..... don

Epidural spinal steroid injection, and weight gain
I am having the ESI because of 3 slip discs one of which is crushing my nerve, I have been on Pregabalin and gained 9 kilos in a couple of months and feel the worst ever. I can't afford to be not on pregabalin as I have too much pain and can hardly walk. I need to lose weight to make my back better

Leflunomide or methotrexate
I’ll be seeing my rheumatologist in a couple of weeks and as usual like to go prepared. I’ve been on hydroxychloroquine since end of November 2018 and then leflunomide was added mid February 2019. These were added to my prednisolone as I was suffering from painful and swollen knees. Steroid injections

I am on sulfa and leflunomide but my hand'wrist always very painful and swollen and both knees. The medication helps as used to be on methotrexate and couldn't tolerate tablets or injections

GP visit - shocked at response

Cartiva implant
Hi I have osteoarthritis of the large toe joint & I had debridement surgery a few years. I’ve had steroid injections the lot & last year in May, I had the Cartiva joint replacement. I’m in so much pain still & told the surgery didn’t create a gap between the two bones. I suffer with nerve damage pain

Steroid injection effects on MRI ???
I am hoping someone can advise me....I have an MRI booked for July, the pain in my foot is almost unbearable. The Physiatrist wants to give me a steroid injection, my GP says not until after the MRI. Will a steroid injection alter the results of an MRI ?

Steroid injection side effects?
I have been on Sulfasalazine for 4 months (6 tablets per day). Also Sertraline for anxiety and depression for the last 2-3 months. 5 days ago I was given an intramuscular steroid injection and for the last 3 nights I have been experiencing very bad dreams / nightmares. Any thoughts on connections?

Newly diagnosed
I want to apologise before I start in case there are two posts as I have just lost my first one and need to start again. I was diagnosed with SLE three weeks ago but I have been poorly for many years without being able to get any proper help. Alongside the lupus symptoms I developed a cough and breathing

Down Another Path
After my initial meltdown and panic about pmr and steroids, I went to hospital yesterday to see the specialist. I had been panicking as to why I was seeing a Rheumy so very quickly after seeing a decent GP (3rd time lucky). I had been expecting the 25 week wait and was worried about what they had discovered

Does Kefir and Probiotics help with RA/RD? Link attached
Hi guys for some time a while ago I was buying and drinking milk kefir which is basically fermented milk full of healthy bacteria beneficial for the gut. I’d read a lot about how a leaky gut can affect the severity of RA/RD so thought I’d give it a try with only so-so impact. Due to the cost of buying
