Worse after 2 years
I had the first symptoms of PMR in the spring of 2021, was diagnosed that fall and started on
steroids
in October, 15 mg. My symptoms improved, but never completely went away. It wasn’t pain, but rather extreme fatigue and legs and arms that felt heavy.

update on knee pain
As most of you will probably know, I injured my knee on holiday at the end of June, when my knee would buckle. Over the months Drs have always been more concerned that my back or pelvis was injured with a fall in the shower, due to the knee buckling. I had CT scans and MRIof the spine and pelvis, but

endoscopy and steroid dose
I normally take my
steroids
after taking a PPI and some yoghurt and cereal. I can do this at 7 as I am not supposed to eat for 6 hours before the procedure. I have had an endoscopy before but am quite worried about it. Do I need to increase my dose on the day of the procedure?

First nurse appointment
Upshot is that she’s prescribed more
steroids
so that I can stop naproxen again and also now added Sulfasalzine with MTX in the hope that the pain and inflammation is kept in check. I’ve got to wait for the blood test results and the nurse will call tomorrow.

skin issue
I have had CLL for about four years. I am currently on active surveillance and treatment naive. I had a spinal fusion on July 17 for L4-5 due to Spondylolisthesis. I feel like I’m recovering as well as I can expect from the surgery. My hemoglobin dropped to 10 post surgery so I have been very tired but

concern over chest infections after chemo, should I be worried?
He has had 4 courses of antibiotics and a course of
steroids
, prednisolone, for this but he is still coughing and wheezing. Has anyone experienced this after chemotherapy or should I be worried and request a chest X-ray to rule out anything sinister? thank you all

Steroids
and Mycophenolate ineffective at managing platelets. Platelets are now managed with Eltrombopag with a count in the 60's. CLL is slowly returning. Lymphocytes now 11. Current plan is to see how long Eltrombopag lasts and then look around for options ... not sure what?

Arthritis, PMR or both.
On this basis I had intra articular injection of
steroids
int th AC joint. The results were initially amazing but didn’t last long. If I do anything involving my shoulders they do hurt more for a few days before quietening down again.

Morning cough
In November I caught a cold and had 3 lots of
steroids
and antibiotics. My question is I now have a morning cough which starts as soon as I wake up and takes me about an hour to clear my lungs. I do use the blue inhaler to open up my airways.

Not yet diagnosed....AN
I'm currently on extremely strong
steroids
to see if it helps and if there is any inflammation in there to reduce. If this doesn't work (they haven't done anything do far apart from stop me sleeping 😴) then next stop will be MRI which the doctors seem reluctant to do so far.

Vertigo and PD?
I took high doses of IV
steroids
for three days. Later a dominant hand tremor led to a PD diagnosis. But the vertigo abated and I never developed other signs associated with PD: No slowness, no freezing, no balance problems. One neuro said there's no rule you can't have BOTH diseases.

feeling very down
I’m dreading tomorrow when there will be no more
steroids
left…To cap it all, I was born with a bicuspid aortic valve and had regular echocardiograms up until the pandemic to monitor it.

Going for my thrid collection🤯🤪adding luveris - anyone tried it?
🙈🤪🤯 Protocol has been adapted this time with alternate doses of gonal f each day, increase in
steroids
and the addition of luveris. I've read it can help with egg quality but no idea if that's true. Has anyone else added luveris, did it help? Change things?

From 4 mg of Prednisone to 240mg of Solumedrol.. in 30 hours....
I'm in the hospital contemplating the curses and blessings of prednisone and the whole family of
steroids
. I have chronic asthma and haven't had a severe asthma attack for 13 years. Who knows maybe all my prednisone was protecting me.
