Colonoscopy side effects
I learned on friday that it showed i had collagenous colitis. i will be prescribed
steroids
. Since the colonoscopy i have developed horrific lower back pain which conventional pain killers don’t help. Can’t take anti inflammatory drugs as on blood thinners.

Hi all, hope you're all doing as well as you can be. Just thought I'd give you an update on something that went from being so hopeful to now being left to struggle once again. If you know my previous posts just before Christmas I'd had a steroid injection and was waiting to see professor D'cruz in London

Morphea treatment - PUVA or triamcinolone injections?
hello, looking for a bit of advice as I was diagnosed with Morphea a few months ago. I’m under the care of dermatology department. It affects my whole left arm, part of my rib cage and some of my right arm. The worst area is around my left wrist where the skin is particularly tight around the joint

ACUTE ONSET OF BULLOUS SKIN RASH AND ACUTE KIDNEY INJURY AFTER EXPOSURE TO RADIOCONTRAST
History, clinical examination with abrupt onset of a painful erythematous rash, dense neutrophilic dermal infiltrate without vasculitis after drug/contrast exposure, and resolution of symptoms after urgent cessation and early initiation of high-dose
steroids
all suggested a diagnosis of SS.

Is it long Covid
I had many flares but the last one was when my GP during Covid put my
steroids
up from 6mg to 15mg as I had head and jaw pain. After scans etc it was decided the cause was neuropathic and I began the long withdrawal back to 6mg.

Feeling poorly
Evening everyone, I have continued to feel increasingly unwell. Shoulder and neck pain continues and keeps me awake or wakes me up every night now. I sometimes wake up with sweat around my neck and chest. The steroid injection I had 13 days ago helped a bit to decrease the intensity of pain but it hasn

I was diagnosed with PMR five years ago and my gp kept me on Prednisolone for two years which resulted in a catalogue of side effects including glaucoma and cataracts. My diagnosis was confirmed as RA shortly after. I have been taking methotrexate successfully since. However my condition has worsened

They have told him that they will give him two or three rounds of radiation to stem the bleeding , and he has
steroids
and antibiotics and will have a supply of oxygen at home in case he needs it. He has been poorly for a while but this is a new diagnosis. He has had copd for many years.

EGPA Diagnosis today
Kidney health was deteriorating so idea was to put me on
Steroids
ASAP prior to diagnosis being confirmed. Body has responded well and will be out of hospital today. Anyone have any similar stories or any advice. I'm feeling much better with the
steroids
and can breath for England.

I’m also taking
steroids
for another unrelated condition (PMR) I have never taken HRT due to it linked to cancer. The problem I’m having is I can’t bare much more of the hot flushes! I don’t know what to do or if I should now consider HRT.

Can polymyalgia be misdiagnosed for fibromyalgia and vice versa?
I can't remember what treatment Mum was on for fibromyalgia but I do know she was on
steroids
for polymyalgia. Whatever the dose she was never free from pain. I believe that
steroids
won't touch fibro.

PMR symptoms after steroid injection 12 days ago
Happy New Year everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas .🎄 I posted just before Christmas about awful shoulder and neck pain and that I saw a private doctor who thinks my symptoms are PMR. He gave me a steroid injection. It has helped dampen down the pain. It was excruciating but has since

Hi everyone Happy New Year to you all. Can anyone answer my question if it's safe to have a steroid injection for frozen shoulder if you have open angle glaucoma? Don't know what to do. Many thanks in advance.
