Do I need to take Alendronate?
(My rheumy prescribed it to me before these results came in, just saying "since you're going to be on
steroids
long term you need it.") Can someone tell me if the numbers below warrant me being on Alendronate? I'm a 53-year old male. Currently on 25 mg pred.

Activities during 2ww - how careful are you about attending social events etc?
Hello, I've got an FET coming up and am on
steroids
for this one. I've got a few planned activities which involves a gig which I'd loved to go to but I'm just not sure its worth the risk with COVID still about, especially if my immune system is slightly dampened with the drugs.

Stopped Methotrexate being screened for Adalimumab
So after being on Methotrexate (injections) for 2 years since diagnosis and feeling dreadful on it (swollen fingers, nausea, constant headaches, depression) I last injected on 18th December 2023. Needless to say my RA is raging in every joint now! Just had a steroid injection and being screened for

Does anyone have any insight on how or if V +O treatment affects insulin sensitivity?
We attributed this to the
steroids
given during O infusions, but those are now in the past, and he is not able to reduce his A1C and insulin requirements. Does anyone have any data regarding the effects of this treatment on Type 2 Diabetes? Thanks so much!!!

Leg Pain pt 3
Writing again because one of you lovely people suggested I saw my MRI results for myself. She was right, my doctor said it was wear and tear in the back. Keep taking the painkillers and walk. But I did see the results and it is Grade 1 degenerative spondylolisthesis. He did not suggest physio. But

Morphea treatment - PUVA or triamcinolone injections?
hello, looking for a bit of advice as I was diagnosed with Morphea a few months ago. I’m under the care of dermatology department. It affects my whole left arm, part of my rib cage and some of my right arm. The worst area is around my left wrist where the skin is particularly tight around the joint

anyone have achy legs
I’m learning so much from reading everyone’s posts. Unfortunately I am still trying to figure out what is going on with my legs. I know I have a component of RLS as my legs feel like a “current” is running through them when I am sitting for long periods, watching Tv in evenings and laying in bed.

Low dose steroids for miscarriages…?
But they have said they could put me on low-dose
steroids
as a safety net - it’s up to me. From what I’ve read, the
steroids
seem to be for implantation issues/chemical pregnancies, rather than later miscarriages…?!

Steroid injection in shoulder joint
I had a steroid injection in my left shoulder on Thurs pm (after waiting about 6 months). The doctor administering it, advised me to postpone a forthcoming shingles jab, but I forgot to ask him if I should continue to take methotrexate (due Fri - i opted to skip it this week) and my 2 weekly Imraldi

Reducing steroids
Went hospital. 40mg
steroids
for 3 days and an antibiotic called Doxycycline. As I had reduced my
steroids
for PMR and GCA to 8mg a day, I was wondering if I should keep to 8mg a day after the last day of 40mg? I forgot to ask the doctor at hospital. My thoughts would be helpful. Thank you.

Hi all. I have been suffering with back pain for several years. In regards to medication, you name it, I've tried it. I've have two lots of steroid injections which had no effect whatsoever and then finally in 2022 I had radio frequency ablation which was brilliant. I had instant relief from this. I

steroid injections
I had a steroid injection in my low back yesterday. This was to help nerve pain I have been having in my thigh. Today, could I use the steroid from this having this shot of steroid from this injection as a way to decrease my daily steroid by 1/2- 1mg.? Will that work? Hope that makes sense😊

Should I be as worried as I am before my 6th transfer?
I then changed clinics and they ran the EMMA, ALICE and ERA tests, and based the timing of the transfer off that data, and they also discovered I have an auto-immune condition, which they treated with
steroids
