Your thoughts - treatment plan
All, thanks for all of your support and information on prior posts. This one is a little long... I wanted to run a treatment plan past you for thoughts. I have Intermediate-favorable prostate cancer. I am in the NYC area and will seek treatment locally. Three PSA scores were 2.4 in 2018, 3.4 in 2019,

Radical prostatectomy vs. external beam radiation therapy in Gleason 9-10.
New German/Italian/Canadian study below [1]. "Gleason Score (GS) 9-10 prostate cancer is associated with particularly adverse oncological outcomes and the optimal treatment is unknown. Therefore, cancer-specific mortality (CSM) rates after radical prostatectomy (RP) ± adjuvant radiation therapy (aRT)

The Use of 68Ga-PET/CT PSMA to Determine Patterns of Disease for Biochemically Recurrent Prostate Cancer Following Primary Radiotherapy
"CONCLUSIONS: 68Ga-PSMA PET/CT frequently identifies suspected recurrent disease prior to the accepted Phoenix definition of PSA nadir +2. Prospective outcome studies are required to determine if early identification of local recurrence improves outcomes by increasing the use of salvage local treatments

Is there a link between gamma knife treatment and Myeloma ?
My wife had GK about 18 months ago, which went well and she seemed okay. However, for the last three months she had been short of breath and unable to keep up with me when walking (she often outpaced me in the past). She has now been diagnosed with Myeloma, so my question is, has this happened to anyone

G'day all. I'm new to this group and wanted to briefly introduce myself. I found out I inherited a dodgy X from Mum years ago but honestly have never really wanted to be involved in any kind of AMN/ALD group until I came across this site. I'm 35, work full time in accounting/finance in Western Australia

It’s back!!
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. The cancer has returned to my husband, same place plus lymph nodes but not spread to organs as yet. To say we are shocked is a massive understatement! He was doing well, eating and putting on weight. In July started with slight pain in left side and back, thought

How long between runs do you lose your stamina?
I competed c25k last November and then ran 30m or 5k (which I got down to about 35 mins) depending on how much time I had, about 3 times a week. Sadly I've got/had breast cancer, I will keep this as brief as possible I wont bore you all with too many details lol. I had a lumpectomy and lymph nodes removed

This Blog has been an enormous support on my journey through PC. Every time I learn something from my doctors, or my own experances, I come check it out on the blog and it seems that most of you already know it. I'm amazed at your depth of knowledge. I have referred a couple of my friends to it who

Saffron and treatment of prostate cancer?
I was searching for herbs that can suppress appetite, because since my starting Firmagon injections my appetite increased and of course my weight too. I found an article about using Saffron as an appetite suppressant AND also as an antidepressant, but I also found another article about the possible anticancer

Drugs to reduce radiation effects
I was thinking that Radiotherapy does the same organ damage as a radiation exposure ..... Why cant we use same drugs as employed for protecting radiation exposure like Chernebyl or any other radiation exposure...... Seems like URI Protein C Thbd play a role..... It should be interesting to share this

Hi had my results today, just need a bit of radiotherapy, on my ribs.
hi everyone hope your all coping ok and believing 100% you'll beat it, I had my results this morning, and I explained to my new oncologist I'd been having a little pain in my ribs, and he said I'll show you why, I thought I'd pulled a muscle, but there's a bit of cancer in the lowest rib, that explains
