WBRT -whole brain radiation!

Just starting to feel human again, having had whole-brain radiotherapy (hippocampus-sparing) WBRT-HS, at the end of August due to brain mets ( had already tried cyber-knife/gamme knife which worked, but short-term). It's now Xmas, so 4 months of v strong side-effects....Am now on a taxol for liver mets (small) but otherwise tumor-free (brain and femur). Anyone experienced WBRT-HS? I hope improvements continue? Wow, it is so great that you're feeling better and have responded so well to the radiation! What a great way to start the new year! I keep reading about different forms of radiation here and am intrigued by it....I'll need to learn more at some point to see if it might play a role in my future treatment...
