Another Statin meta-analysis.
The pooled estimates showed that exposure to hydrophilic
statins
was not associated with the incidence of PCA .., while the incidence of PCA was significantly decreased in populations exposed to lipophilic
statins
compared with the nonexposed group .., mainly in Western countries ...

statins and high blood sugar
Hello. My husband has been taking 80mg Atorvastatin for a year now. After his yearly mot he’s been told his blood sugar is high, not diabetic but high. He was in hospital for 12 weeks this time last year and he was checked daily with a finger prick and perfect. I’m not sure what could have happened

Statins and Fatty Liver
Can anyone give me some advice. I’ve been put on a statin for my cholesterol. My G.P then said we will do a blood test in two months to make sure it’s not effecting my liver. As someone with fatty liver (unsure if I still have it) and lots of health anxiety around my liver I’m worried.

Statins - effects on RLS
My doctors surgery has just put me on
statins
and RLS has begun to creep into my life again. Would anyone be able to confirm that the
statins
are causing this?

Response Missing from "Alternative to Statins?"Question
The advice I gave was based on my husband's experience with
statins
and I thought it would have. been very useful to the person who posted the question. I'm just wondering, who moderates this? Thanks for enlightening me!

General feedback
I'm going to see how the reduced dosage of bisopromol goes and also looking at a supplement of K2mk7 to maybe help with the impact of the
statins
. Does anyone else get similar problems?

Bit scared, actually
Doctor told me to stop smoking now, stop alcohol, reduce salt, exercise three times a week and take
statins
and bp meds. I was told that although my ecg was normal, my bloods showed I was worryingly close to a cardiac event. I feel scared but hopeful.

Source of NDT or T3?
directly correlated, and surprise, surprise: It came back below range: TSH: 1.7 (0.2-4.0) FT4: 13.5 (11.0-23.0) FT3: 3.3 (3.5-6.0) Did a follow-up test 3 weeks later just to check if it wasn't just a random error, and now my FT4 was 12.0 and FT3: 3.0 with a slight elevation of LDL (no change in
