I have tried putting a post on this site twice in the last two days without any success, am trying again. I am not used to doing this and must be doing something wrong. I replied re the outcome of my visit to the consultant but I sent this to one of you instead of to you all. Am waiting for a date

Ovarian cancer in my breast?
I was dx in Jan 2013 with stage 4 ovarian ca. Surgery then I got cisplat/taxol x6 mos then remission for 8 mos. Cancer came back and had been on Cisplat/doxil x12mos once a month and then ca-125 rose to 223. so ct done and showed cancer had progressed. I was changed to Vinorelbine every 3 weeks and off

Scared
Hi, I usually sit on the sidelines here as I'm fairly new to AF and I am just learning about it all. I started with full blown AF last year (paroxysmal ) and after a terrible summer being medicated with sotalol giving me horrible side effects I eventually persuaded my cardiologist to give me flecainide

Carboplatin side effects?
hi, I'm 10 weeks into 18 week treatment of carboplatin and taxol and it hasn't been too bad. The last 2 carboplatin I've had (I only have that one every 3 weeks) I've woken up the next day with pretty bad stomach pains making it difficult to stand upright as it's worse when I stretch. Last time it had

Sotalol side effects and an anticoagulation conundrum.
I'm a 61yr. old woman with PAF diagnosed 10 yrs ago. Episodes were becoming more frequent, and I was already up to 7.5mg Bisoprolol daily, not feeling good and neither was it controlling the AF. I started 120mg Sotalol, twice a day, 3 weeks ago, as a direct replacement for Bisoprolol. i've had 2 AF episodes

The end of chemo
Hi ladies Hope everyone is doing ok. I haven't posted for ages but am still here in the background! Mam had to stop daily cyclophosphamide and fortnightly avastin in March, she was worn out. Her next scan showed it had only just been holding things steady, and the cancer had progressed, thickening

The Carousel Journey Again
Ladies. Posted only 5 weeks that my review was great...oh, how soon that ended. Began to have signs of similar symptoms within the past 2 weeks and it was getting worse. So went to my GP to ask for ca125 test (thinking & hoping I was being over cautious). Saw him at 1 o'clock last Monday and at 5pm was

Back on the merry go round :-(
Hi everyone I posted around a month ago when my latest ca125 had risen to 52 so needed investigating. Have had a ct scan and a PET scan which has shown a small recurrence back of liver - 3.2cm in size. Bizarrely just feel relieved that there's no microscopic disease elsewhere - does that sound weird

Living with rhythm changes.
Hi everyone, I have had atrial arithmia/flutter for nearly 12 years and had three ablations and one cardioversion and all have been reasonably successful, albeit for different periods of time. At present I am taking digoxin, sotalol, indapamide, perindopril and warfarin. Amiodarone was suggested before

Ablation Experience
I have been reading this forum for a few years, contributing occasionally (when I thought that it may be helpful) so I thought it time that I made a more significant contribution. I have had PAF for more than twenty years, originally with just one or two episodes a year, but gradually increasing in

Platinum resistance
Hi. I'm confused and upset by my Mom's doctor's decision that my mom is platinum resistant. Her CA125 dropped quite a lot the first few treatments and then we can to drop much slower, sometimes seeming to stay the same for a few times and then finally dropping just a little bit. She did however get to

Ppc cancer /chemo
Hi, I am 39 years old and was recently diagnosed with stage 2 primary peritoneal cancer. I am looking for others who are in the same boat. I am BRCA1+. I do not mind talking to women who have or had ovarian cancer, however, there is a difference between the 2. It is discouraging to come on this website

Dark brown urine... could it be my meds?
I'm a bit concerned as over the past 24 hours my urine has been getting darker, and it's now actually dark enough to have me quite worried. Does anybody know if this could be a side effect of all the meds I'm taking or maybe something more serious that I need to get checked out? I was on Amiodarone

Small intestine thickened with cancer
The third line chemo is not working on some resistant cancer smothering my small intestine. Has anyone else had cancer there? There is not much of it but it is enough to tie the small intestine up so it doesn't work as well. The outlook is for it to block completely and they tell me it's very unlikely
