Ablation
have had 2 ablations; still on sotalol; considering 3rd ablation with Dr Natale; I suspect a watchman as well; issue is fatigue; short episodes about every three weeks. I welcome any thoughts since I am undecided. Thanks

Follow up from ablation - mixed feelings
I had my follow up appointment tonight with Professor Ng (my ablation was performed on the 26th of March). He asked me the usual questions and I told him I had no AF as far as I was aware since the procedure. I told him how the recovery went - aura migraines, indigestion etc all of which has settled.

default heart rate when in Afib?
Hi guys Long story short:third ablation failed in May. In between ablations (last 2 years) my afib has been permanent. Ive tried multiple drug combos but the only thing that makes my heart beat normally is an ablation. After latest failed I had a weekâs reset after a public hospital cardioversion.

AF retest
I was diagnosed with AF in 2017 and was prescribed Apixaban/Sotalol/Rosuvastatin; I was already taking Bendroflumethiazide. For the last 7 years I have had yearly health checks at the GP's, bloods, blood pressure and weight. My questions are - have I still got AF, do I need to be re-tested? It

My wife, early 80s, has previously had a mitral valve repair, pacemaker fitted, Suffers from AF and takes candesartan, sotalol, apixaban and furosemide. Last week she coughed up blood, called ambulance, admitted to A&E and endoscopy suggested bleeding ulcer in upper GI tract. She was taken off Apixaban

afib and antidepressants
I am thinking of going back on antidepressants. I have had two catheter ablations for afib with my last one being one year ago. I am experiencing ectopics now and may need to go back on Sotalol if I drop back into afib. Is it safe to take antidepressants with Sotalol or other anti-arrhythmics?

A short while ago I posted on here about Sotalol. Thank you all for your replies and various comments. Cardioversion
Three hours after a cardioversion and all good so far, cross me fingers tightly, keeping me maintained on sotalol for six weeks to hopefully, give it time to remember the rhythm.

Sotalol
My newly found Consultant Cardiologist has prescribed me two new drugs. Sotalol and Flecainide. In respect of the Sotalol he prescribed .... " one tablet twice a day". My tablets are 40mg dose. This replaces Bisoprolol and Nebivolol that I have taken at different times in past years gone by. Anyone

Serious shortage of some medicines.
There is an article in todayâs Guardian which refers to a serious shortage of some medicines: âMedicine shortages in England âbeyond criticalâ, pharmacists warn.â No heart medications are mentioned in the article, but I wondered if anyone had experienced problems obtaining any of their regular heart
