Hi folks, I'm feeling well and in Spain this week but been told there is a phase 1 clinical trial of new antiangiogenic drug (cuts off blood supply to tumours) at the Christie which I can probably do. There is little info on its effectiveness so far as only 4 people on it so far and they won't tell me

Hi all. My last round of chemo ended on 7 May 2015 and I have had a great 5 months of freedom enjoying my garden and some holidays. Saw my oncologist yesterday and the scan from last Friday shows a 3mm increase on all of the metastatic nodules in my lungs. Not really surprised as I as I have not really

There can be a cure for AF!
I have always been told that there is no permanent cure for AF, and accepted that over the past twenty years. I saw Professor Schilling today, for my three month post ablation check, and he said, quite specifically, that he considered me to be cured, and did not expect to have to see me again. For

3rd time in A&E with paroxysmal AF
I'm getting a bit concerned just spent a 3rd occasion in hospital due to my AF/flutter First time that reverted to normal sinus rhythm after few hours, second time they put me on magnesium drip and extra bisoprolol and it reverted - told me not to come back unless it had been going 24hrs or more

This is actually my first post because it has finally dawned on me that although I have been replying to people since I joined in May my own worries and questions were tagged on to the end of someone else's post. Please forgive me on that one and put it down to me being a total non tech person. This

Night sweats
Hi, I have had these before when I went through menopause . I am on Avastin and weekly taxol and have been for several months and have had an occasional night sweat but recently I have had them every night getting up during night to change bed wet as well. Has anyone else suffered these while on treatment

Ectopics with AF
I am 11 months into diagnosis of PAF and lately am experiencing lots more unpleasant ectopics more so after eating evening meal. I take just one 40mg dose of Sotalol daily. Have had a couple of episodes of severe crushing chest pain which the doctor thinks could be gastric related rather than heart.

Chemo not working
I'm on 4th line weekly Taxol at the moment. Had 9th one yesterday. The CA125 initially decreased but now is rising again. I had 4 Carbo/Caelyx before this with only a month's break so this is not a good situation to be in. Has anyone on this site been told that there will be no more chemo as I'm dreading

Sotalol and NICE guidelines
Hi, I have read comments on this site about NICE guidelines not recommending Sotalol for AFIB. It has worked great for me for over 10 years, although not perfect. I am 55 now. How do I find out more about the current thinking re Sotalol? 3 months ago I went the head of AFIB type unit at St. Francis
