Hello there,

Yes to both.

I have been on Avastin for 14 cycles now and get occasional light headedness and very achey limbs.

All the best to you.x

Hi Fuffy (love the name btw) Yes to both. I tend to think it's because it affects blood pressure - Avastin can make it raise and this contributes to the lightheadedness. Wish you well xx

I get a bit achey especially my feet. That is from the Avastin. Now and again it bothers me a lot out of the blue. So I wear strong runners and that helps. I read somewhere that since Avastin reduces the blood supply it can irritate blood vessels and affect nerves in your body and joints. Then again the weather here at the moment is very autumn like. A good long soak in a warm bath with epsom salts is good as you draw magnesium into your body. I am just on the Avastin at the moment. Sometimes you meet with a blank wall when you mention these side effects but I believe the doctors are only learning themselves as they go along. Wishing you well

I didn't have lightheadedness or weak limbs but felt as if all my bones were aching. Couldn't lie on the floor or a sunbed without lots of cushion. Best if luck. Xxxxx

Hi Fluffyfrost

I've experienced taxol and avastin but not together. I'm currently on taxol and it makes me feel very lightheaded some days. I get very tired and I feel my muscles are weak. Avastin seemed to make my joints ache.

It's good we've got this forum to cheer us up. It's not the cancer that makes us feel rotten most of the time it's the treatments!!!

I love your name and very appropriate for today. We actually had a frost this morning in Wales on 30th July!!! That must be a first.

How are you feeling now? xx love Annie

Hi Annie I've been tired a bit this week after my taxol even though I'm on half strength due to my platelet deficiency . I worry about my lungs which have been stable I'm not too sure about that ATM i do feel a bit breathless.

It would be typical as I need to fly back to the UK to spend time with my mam who has been diagnosed with cancer either ovarian or stomach and well advanced but they will treat her.

It has been a difficult time trying to process everything while staying positive .

Anyway sorry for sounding so bleak I need to find my mojo lol

Take care cxfiona
