Stent
Had my kidney stent put in today, under a local anaesthetic, have to say it was sore but the procedure went smoothly. Now to start weekly Taxol on Friday, feeling a bit overwhelmed by it all but positive and trying to deal with each day as it comes.

Well - a few weeks back I had a Hter monitor for 7 days because I had voiced cover s about how my heart was beating - it seems to have settee down and it appears I am in NSR most of the time sometime dipping into AF. So now having spoken to my EP and him emailing me I need to think about my next course

Vagal AF
I thought I would start a new thread since sometimes I miss info in older threads, and others will do the same, especially if they have not posted anything on the older thread. I saw the following in a 2007 study and found it helpful. If this information is true, it is hard to understand why an EP

Am I really an 'enigma'?
Hello everyone, I am a 45 y/o male with managed Hpyertension , but otherwise healthy. I was diagnosed with AF back in September 2014. I underwent cardioversion which last for 3 days. After this I was told that my AF was permanent. I had catheter ablation in November 2014 but was told I would probably

My treatments
Someone on here had asked what my treatments are. I can't find that post to reply. So my treatments are cytoxan/adriamycin every 2 weeks x4 treatments (#3 will be tomorrow). This will be followed by 12 weekly taxol treatments. Also have neulasta auto injector every session. So far I have lost 90% of

Most vagal afibbers receive wrong medication
Bagrat commented on one of my posts I made a year ago and this reminded me of the following study which was done some time ago but may still be relevant. Many new people on the forum may not be aware of the concept presented. Most vagal afibbers receive wrong medication MAASTRICHT, THE NETHERLANDS

Advice for newbie please
I've just been diagnosed with paroxysmal AF and, with a very supportive GP, I'm starting on the road to find a treatment that suits me best. I've read a lot but would love some tips on questions I should really be asking. In hindsight I had probably had infrequent episodes of AF that just left me feeling

Post atrial flutter ablation & sotalol
After my ablation for A flutter 26th October 2015 I was taken off my 2.5 of bisoporal and put onto sotalol (80mg X 2). I noticed the difference straight away - not happy with heart beats / missed/ pauses / dips - a bit like the sensation ( ladies) you have in pregnancy before the real noticeable movements

Surgery / no surgery
Hi can I ask are there many women diagnosed with oc who do not have any surgery. I have had first line chemo carbo / taxol and avastin for stage 4b and looking to have 12 more treatment of avastin only. My recent CT scan showed all tumour is reducing in size. What do you think. Thanks

Facing chemo for the 2nd time and frightened
following on fromm my last post, I came out from hospital on Tuesday. Surgeon found one tumour wrapped around my ureter and another mass which also proved to be cancerous. I'm told that it is rare to have had surgery for a recurrence and so the consultant wants to treat this as a 'new' cancer and blast

Hi everyone Thanks so much for replies. had another 7 litres drained just 3 weeks after the previous one. That's just over a week ago and I'm pretty sure I can feel it building up again already. The onc says they're reluctant to put in a perm drain when you're on chemo (weekly taxol, one week off

Hi to everyone who replied to my last post re problems with weekly Taxol, and thanking you all with your suggestions and ideas. Sadly my situation has got worse since then. Dec 23rd, my husbands birthday, I was rushed into A and E with breathing difficulties. Tests and an X-ray showed fluid on both
