My beautiful mum
I've not posted in quite a while but read all your posts daily! My beautiful brave, courageous, strong mum passed away on 20th November. She had been told maybe a couple of weeks left back in March, but being the fighter she was refused to accept that, she took steroids and days later was walking around

Weight gain and hair loss
I will be getting the red death(devil) cytoxan and adriamycin every 2 weeks x 4 treatments. Then taxol every week for 12 weeks. I know my hair will fall out but what about facial hair? Eyebrows? Legs? I sure hope that it won't come in curly. I don't need a curly mustache lol. What about weight gain?

Ventriculcar Tachy Ablation? Anyone have one?
Just curious. I had one doctor say he could not do it because my scar was located in the ventricular septum, however I am seeing a top top ablation specialist next week in hopes he may be able to help. I take Sotalol now and it makes me very tired and sluggish. I feel like I am 80 and I am only 40

Pic line success
Hello everyone , Well finally the pic line is in, with the help of my GP, I took a tranquilliser beforehand. This was done on Monday, had a big bleed early Tuesday morning, this was soon sorted by the nurse, then followed by my Taxol chemo, which was absolutely fine. This procedure will now be weekly

Keyhole Maze Procedure Tomorrow
Tomorrow I will be one of the first patients in Australia to have a keyhole maze procedure. It seems that the success rate is something around 75-85%. Experienced my first episode of atrial fibrillation in 2000, as a fit and healthy 48 year old. Since 2000 I’ve been on a range of medications. Mainly

I had very few signs that would have lead me to suspect anything seriously wrong even though I had been having numerous tests for the previous 18 months ct scans Mri etc
