Good visit with EP today. A little more than 3 months since ablation. My EKG was great. I can stop Eliquis, imdur and reduce my Lipitor from 80 to 20 mg. Staying on sotalol for at least another 3 months, in part because I have been getting some short episodes of palptitations with activity since the

The Saga Continues
I went to the chest clinic Monday. We have retested the fluid on the right and it’s no longer Chyle so embolisation is now off the table so at least that decision has been made. I met with my oncology team on Thursday. My oncologist is off sick so I saw the registrar we talked about weekly taxol again

Imbruvica and Heart Issues
I have been taking Imbruvica for five months and my blood counts, while not good, have remained staple. I had Afib prior to starting Imbruvica but it has worsen over the last month, causing 4 shocks from my Defibrillator/Pacemaker in a two week period. As a result, my Oncologist wants to take me off

Daily meds vs PIP meds
Will try and make long story short: 21/2 yr of PAF, started with sotalol, cardiologist wouldnt hear my complaints so after 4 mo saw EP, who happily put me on flecainite/ metoprolol/ xarelto as needed. Only 4-5 episodes in 21/2 yr, no ER or hospitals needed, meds converted me at home.( plus life style

Newbie looking to get my life back
Hi all, I have been reading a lot of your posts looking for a way out of this mess. I went to the ER back in January when I felt my heart flopping around like a fish, couldn’t even count my pulse on my wrist! I was told I was having a SVT. The ER doctor had me do what I call a “party trick” where he

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and I am so glad to find this place. I will be starting my first chemo tomorrow and I am very anxious about how I will feel for this week. Doc will start me on taxol and paraplatin once every 3 weeks for 6 treatments. I am anxious about the side effects.

Stage IVb Uterine Cancer
My above diagnosis was in Feb. 2017. I had a complete hysterectomy along with the removal of my omentum. I then had 18 treatments of taxol and carbo. My CA-125 was down to a 7. It climbed again a few months later and I’m now on doxil and avastin for about 6 sessions. My hands, legs and back really

Scan results.
Hi all. Got my scan results today. I’ve got tumours in my peritoneum. I don’t know the size or how many. I didn’t ask. He didn’t say. Course of action is weekly taxol. Bye bye little bit of hair. Thought I’d opt for weekly as can get it done in my summer holidays off work and it will be two months

Well I didn’t even get through one set of scans with this treatment. I had progression in my liver that was over 20%. A huge disappointment. However I’m starting a new clinical trial in two weeks that is taxol and a glutaminase inhibitor. Cb-839. I’m also having a liver biopsy to confirm that I am triple
