Treating recurrence with Doxil: Side Effects?
I am three years from the end of carboplatin and Taxol chemotherapy for my Stage 3 ovarian cancer. Prior to chemo I had a complete hysterectomy, omentectomy, appendectomy, and transverse colon resection. I now have a recurrence, with a tumor near the sigmoid colon and rectum. There is no surgery or radiation

Questions on Taxol
Hello friends. I was initially diagnosed in 1995 and did well until 2013 when extensive mets to the bones were discovered. I've written here before that, unbelievably (to my oncologist and the radiologist), relative to how many bones are affected, I didn't feel any pain for 8 years and was able to

Struggling.
Started fourth line chemotherapy on the eleventh of October , Carboplatin and Caeleyx ,not as harsh as Taxol but I'm not picking up very well ,still feel exhausted and weak , frequent diarrhoea so reluctant to go out,I'm very tearful and I've gone back to feeling angry, I don't like myself at the moment

Look forward to comments. Seems my cardiologist wants to cover all the bases (more medications = better protection). GP agreed I should try coming off flecainide. Taking Xarelto blood thinner to be safe. Use Apple Watch and take ECG readings at every opportunity. Five days ago I went off flecainide

Caelyx & Carboplatin -info for a friend
A friend is just embarking on round 2 following a relapse. She had the usual Taxol & Carboplatin last time but doesn’t know what to expect with this new chemo combo. There seems confusion about whether she’ll lose her hair for example. Are there any ladies with recent experience? Anything in particular

Carbo/Taxol v carbo/Caelyx
I thought Caelyx was the strongest cancer drug according to a lot of the info I have seen, but various posters have said they found it easier than the Taxol. I did too, and it seemed to have worked better for me than the carbo/taxol regime. So I dont think people should necessarily be scared of having

High CA-125, yet no symptoms
I was diagnosed with Ovarian serous adenocarcinoma, Grade 3c in 9/2017. I had a TOTAL hysterectomy, and debaulking. First round of chemo was carbo-taxol - responded well. Two years later I had a recurrence and had a second round of carbon-gemzar and avastin and responded well. In March of 2020 I started

Okay ladies, anyone have their MO tell them it was okay to have either botox or fillers or both while on taxol. Crazy question I know and stupid but starting to look so old now.

Feeling lost
Following full hysterectomy, removal of appendix, and omentum , graded as 2a mucinous, which was found in the right ovary , and a small microscopic amount in the left . I was told mucinous is very hard to treat and had 6 months carboplatin chemo . Unfortunately I have a recurrence just 6 months later

Want to mange this thing!
I had catheter ablation for supraventricular Tachycardia in March and second one in June. Was told 2nd ablation would fix me, as the Electrophysiologist now knew what to do/where to ablate and would use special mapping equipment and higher powered catheters. He ablated SVT site and found a Flutter site

Debulking op cancelled, no date fixed for when I can have it, feeling anxious
Hi, I have had 6 chemos, 3 carbo and then 3 carbo plus taxol (am now into the 6th week after the last one). I was due to have my debulking op this Tuesday just gone. I was phoned on Monday afternoon by an appointments clerk who told me it was cancelled due to staff sickness, and that I would probably

Dreaming and Beta Blockers
Below is copied from a Google search. For years, beta-blockers have been known to cause central nervous system (CNS) side effects, such as psychiatric conditions, bizarre and vivid dreams, sleep disturbances, delirium, psychosis, and visual hallucinations [1].22 May 2020 Following my initial PAF diagnosis

From Flecainide and Sotalol to Metoprolol
I have switched from the “plumber” to the “electrician”. He took me off from Flecainide and Sotalol and put me on Metoprolol (25 mg twice a day) and keep having Digoxin through. My energy has improved a bit and, in general, feel much better… I didn’t have the Ablation indicated by my previous cardiologist

Drinking and AF
I was diagnosed with persistent/permanent AF back in June, I had a cardioversion that worked well for 6 days, I'm on the list to have an ablation but the wait is 9 to 12 months here.... I like to have a drink now and again, nothing over the top maybe 3-4 pints a week... I have read that it is best not

Radiation
I had a hysterectomy in June removing 20cm tumor Grade 3 and other organs. This has been followed by chemotherapy, and I today finished 4th cycle out of 6 of carboplatin / taxol. CA-25 has gradually dropped to 18 from high in the 400s. Intermittent scans were vague saying images could be cancer or
